My brother's akita is 105 lbs, and his sire and dam are between 120-130 so no your dog is not too oversized to be an akita. There are a lot of very large akitas in this country.

okay, he does not look like an akita. You're right, akitas are that big, although I've only seen two and one of them was not nearly that big.

Here is an Anatolian which does not look like most people's opinion of one. But he is built like Rufus, with the big head, shorter legs, stockier body etc. The coloring is different, but it is obvious to me that it is the same breed of dog.

There are lots of cross breeds that look like dead ringers for other breeds. You can't go on looks alone. There are temperament considerations, and look at what is in your area.

I had a dog that looked to be an almost show ring version of a flat coated retriever... he had no flat coat in him, and very little retriever. I know dogs who are purebred, well bred dogs that are dead ringers for another breed entirely.

If it makes you feel better to think that is what your dog is.. have at it. There is a very small chance you might even be right ;)

Of course! It would only make sense, considering his travelling companion, the GSD/Aussie mix. Shepherd, Shepherd and Shepherd. If he's mixed with some other weird breed, such as Central Asian Shepherd, that would make sense too.....someone intended to create a multi-breed hybrid.

On quiz 4...that Boston? It's not a Boston...maybe a Boston Pug cross or something. The face is wrong, the ears are wrong...the only thing that even vaguely resembles a Boston is the coloring.
