Does your dog stay upstairs or downstairs..

Either or, but definitely in a dog proof room or crate. Last time I left him in my room alone he upended everything but the bookshelves. No destruction, but it looked like a hurricane had torn through it and I had about an hour of cleanup and clothes to wash again. He also decided to poop on the rug.

The poodles have free roam of the house... I know they go upstairs and lay on the beds sometimes because in the spring when the windows are open we have found them locked in one of the bedrooms when we get home, so they must have gone in and then the wind blew the door shut.
But then sometimes we come home and find Bella sitting on the kitchen table looking out the window

When I go to my parents house, Armani gets locked in one bedroom because Elle doesnt really like him and they can not be unsupervised.

Harry Buster and Sophie stay in the garage or out the back. Mac stays inside because she can get possessive with toys and start fights with Harry.
SHe has full run of the house, most of the time she is good but once she got up on the bench and ate all SOphies painkiller and spent 3 days at the vet, so now we make sure everything is up high in a cupboard.
I also have to lock her out of my room, once I thought she had finally changed her ways and left my door open, came home to find she'd eaten all my fish food and dragged stuff out of the bin in the kitchen, upstairs, all the way down the hallway to the other end of the house and chewed it up in my room...grrr. She's 100% banned from my room now.
When she was younger she was fully housebroken EXCEPT my room and was banned from it then as I kept finding presents everytime I went in there. I dunno why my room, but only mine.

Gonzo has never destroyed anything, and Fozzie hasn't since he was a few months old. I assume they stay downstairs, though. The tv or music is left on for them downstairs, and that's where they get their "goodies" before we go (a stuffed kong, a chewie, etc).

Pheebs and Orson stay in the back room (downstairs) with a baby gate up. Either one of them could clear it with ease.........but THANKFULLY they choose not to.
If we are only going to be gone for short trips around town, I leave them out. Phoebe is reliable and has been for years, but Orson is still learning to be good So on those occasions, they are free to be up or down the stairs at their pleasure.
