my two love to sunbathe in the house---under the sky lights or by the sliding glass door. They don't tolerate it outside too much--both are black and the sun just soaks right into their coat and they get overheated.

sophie loves sunbathing, but she's almost completley white so we bring her in pretty often.
Buster does to, but not as much. The puppies are too busy running around to be bothered very much

Daisy will lay on the hottest, sunniest part of the deck and take a nap, even when it's 90+ outside. Definitely a sun girl. Bruzer and Gunnar are the smart ones, they seek out the shade. Gunnar goes against the house under some bushes in a pit that Midnite had dug out over the last few years, where its nice and cool. Bruzer will go under a chair thats in the shade of one of our big trees.

My guys do it and I have been told it is good for their coat and is also an instinctive / natural way of helping against parasites - fleas ticks etc.

Mine loves the sun too .. we don't stay out too much, but he does like to sit and get a tan from time to time

Harmony loves the sun. It does not matter how hot it is. The others hunt for the smallest amount of shade.

Both Bruno and Chico love to lay out in the sun. Sometimes Chico will lay in the sun belly up. It is so cute. He even layed out in the sun when it was 110 degress fahrenheit but then we told him to come in. Bruno sleeps inside when it is too hot.

Both do but especially Athena, She will sit in the sun and pant even when the shade is just inches away.

Kai doesn't seem to like the sun at all. If there is shade available, he goes for it. Probably because he's all black.

Both my dog and my cat do this. I think that the fur they sport is strictly for decoration, since they are always either in the sun or cuddled with a warm body.

Yes, all of my collies enjoy the sunshine. No matter how hot it is, once a day they go stretch out and gather some vitamin D. They only lay out for about 15 minutes, and they seem to love it. Happy summer!

Charlie hates sun. He always lays in the shade, and when he comes in, he goes straight for the air register to lay on it. He is always hot.
