Voodoo and Zeus love our vet. The entire staff knows them on sight. They just adore them and spoil them rotten every time they come. The vet himself spends more time cuddling my boys than doing the actual exam.

When I went to the vet today, Voodoo didn't want to leave! I had to be firm and insistant before he gave a big *sigh* and jumped into the car.

Do your dogs like the vet?

Roxy doesn't like being touched by strangers, soo not really! LOL

The vet doesn't really like her either. Rightfully so though...

Hades on the other hand loves our vet and she loves him. SHe's offered to take him off our hands a few times actually. LOL. He doesn't mind leaving though, it smells funny there :D LOL

Buddy LOVES it... the minute we walk in at least one person is screaming "BUDDDYYYY'S HEEERE!!" Lol...he is so loved and adored there.

The last time we took him for his treatment, we were our front paying and I was writing down the list of vitamin supplements that we are giving him... he'd been in the back for about 10 minutes... Ashley came back to the front and said, "They haven't even started on him yet, they're still playing with him." :D

And, then they say it's only about an hour or two (his treatment) wellll.... last time he was there all day! Hahah, at least I know it's because he's loved and being played with!! I gotta keep an eye on those folks over there!

wow ... such nice dogs :)

My dog hates the vet. Fears him and the place is giving him shivers. When we have to get him to the vet he'll start shaking so hard that I just fear for him. He's all shivers and shakes. And we can berely keep him in there. After we get out of there he'll stop shaking and rush us home

Sophie loves the Vets....any Vet, any clinic....doesn't matter. She's helped with puppy school since she was 10 weeks old so she associates the smell with FUN!! Amos is much like Sophie, he thinks EVERTHING is all about HIM, which is confirmed to him with all the fuss he recieves.

The other 3 are another story entirely. If the Vets are at my house, they roll out the red carpet......COMPANY....WEEEEEEE!!:D
On the other hand, if the Vets are at the clinic....NEEDLES...THINGS IN MY BUTT...AHHHHHHHHH! They shake so bad you'd think they swallowed a giggle ball. No amount of treats, exposure, or even fun visits have ever been able to change their minds.

Actually, my VET dreaded my dogs . . . he'd had to treat a couple of Filas before. He lovingly refers to them as "alligators with fur." Dr. P wasn't too thrilled when I told him I'd be bringing in two more, but, he warmed up to the idea when I asked if I could bring them in every two weeks or so from the time they were pups to get them used to coming and get to know everyone.

Shiva worked her magic on him. She was a nauseatingly adorable puppy. She wriggled. She smiled. She played kissy-face. She gobbled goodies. She totally won him over one day when he was crouched down to talk to her and she threw herself backwards across his legs, wriggled in close with all four legs flailing in the air, rolled her eyes at him and started hiccuping as he gave her a treat - which she gobbled down despite her hiccups. He swore he'd never seen a puppy so coordinated and able to multi-task, lol!

Farley & Chloe get so excited as soon as I put on the directional to pull in the parking lot! Once in the door they immediately have to put their paws up on the counter so all the girls can greet them.:) If we are there for them to be groomed Farley plays shy when he sees the groomer coming out to get them-he gets on the bench and tries to squeeze between my back & the back of the bench. Once he gets off the bench though he is all over John looking for lovins!

Our vets are a husband & wife team and both of them love Farley & Chloe and the feeling is mutual. The 1st 10 minutes of the visit is exactly that - a visit!:) The only time either dog is a little leery is if they need an ear exam because both have had infections in the past. Chloe will tolerate the exam from either Bart or Karen but with such a sad look on her face until they say "all done" and she is happy once again. Farley will let Bart check his ears but there is no way we can get him to allow Karen to. He becomes this wiggly, squirmy, limp spaghetti, twisting & turning and doing every movement possible to avoid her looking in his ears. He's never aggressive but we've never been successful with her checking his ears. If it is necessary & Bart isn't there she has to go get the groomer to come in and check them for her!:)

Lizzie DOES NOT like the vet at all and the vet does not like her either.LOL. Last time we went for her shots she hid under the seat and would NOT come out for ANYTHING she even started to show some teeth!!!! And getting the Bordatella in was so bad that I had to take it home and give it to her while she was sleeping(I know that sounds bad but it really was not because that was the only way for her to get it and I would rather do that than her get sick). Also what makes the vet so "bad" to her is she had an ear infection that was really bad so she remembers waking up at the vet in pain from him cleaning her ears out. Hopefully next time will go better!!!!!

Boy HATES the vet. We havn't been there with Darcey yet though.

When we bring Boy, he'll get out of the car and walk a couple feet. Then he'll know where we are. Then he'll literally just sit on the ground so he have to push him in or try to pick him up which he hates.

I wouldn't say he "doesn't" like the vet... He is just very scared. We went to the vet yesterday for updated shots and when we put Charlie on the table it literally scared the sh!t out of him.

Casey is scared of the vets and while we sit in the waiting room she gets nervous and so do I (I know that that doesn't help at all but I am terrified of the vets). She likes the actual people but hates to be in the building.

Rexie tolerates the vet, just her usual aloof self, but she still manages to squirm on the floor and act cutesy. She refuses to eat their cookies though, they arent good enough for her. She is a perfectly well behaved patient.

Cooper on the other hand is a raving lunatic. He wants to lick the vets face, in their ears, wash their eyeballs, climb all over them and get maximum attention and then eat both his and Rexies cookies. He isnt so sure of his specialist though, he always messes with his ouchy hips and that makes him sad.

Madilyn is kinda neutral.....she doesn't seem to notice any difference to any other place we go (since she'd so 'compact' she goes everywhere with me!). She also gets lots of attention when she comes into the vet office (as she does at all places we go to regularly)---there's lots of "Madilyn!" "Madilyn's here!" "Hi Madilyn!" ---I've also gotten used to the fact that I'm invisible :D

My dogs never minded the 2 Clinics I've gone to . When we moved here, I was really hoping that the Clinic was like my old one . It was. Both started in the '50s with caring folks from the desk on. Bubba was used to going back with the ladies behind the desk and in new one did the same . To this day, they still talk about him ....so does my vet. He was special.

I wouldn't say mine like the vet LOL , but they don't carry on really..Sugar would let you do anything to her, and Max the boofhead just farts if he is nervous lol...thats about it. Other than that they sit there quietly whilst the vet does what he needs to..they do like his liver treats though :D
