Because let me tell ya, Zoe does NOT. Not one bit! We have had rain 6 consecutive days here in Northern Cal and it has been rough. She hates going out, so I have to literally drag her butt off the bed (I know, I know) and out the door. Then she just looks up at me like "Seriously??" She goes potty as quickly as possible then runs back for home. She has had very little exercise, which makes her ultra hyper all day. I wish there was an indoor doggie day care, but I can't find one.

Guess I can just pray for sunshine.

Gunnar could care less unless it's a total downpour, then he'll do his thing and come in. Otherwise he'll go out and take his time and even sit on the porch and keep watch. We train in bad weather all the time so he's used to it.

Daisy, she'll go out if it's not too bad and take her time.

Bruzer, you have to drag him out!

IF it means going outside I don't think my dogs would care about anything but hail and that would have to be over pea sized.

I even bought her a "rain coat" thinking that would help, but she seems to hate that even more! Thank God we don't live in Seattle!

The Dobermans try refusing to go outside in the rain -- they hate it. And then once they get out there, they just stand around all hunched over shivering and don't bother to do what they need to until they absolutely have to. Dobes tend to think that they're going to melt in the rain or something, haha. It's very annoying.

Dance, OTOH, doesn't care at all. She blinks a lot when she's out in the rain, but it doesn't bother her. She's happy to be out no matter what the weather's like -- the only time she complains is when it's really cold.

Nope. The boys will go out if its wet, or if it's drizzling.

But yesterday it rained hard all day and there was accidents from all 3 in the family room :(

It takes a LOT for the boys not to pee outside. But Bailey pees in the house even if the backyard is just WET. It could be sunny and warm, but if the yard is WET, she pees in the house. Its ridiculous!

Big girls don't have an issue. They don't really care about the weather.

Teeny dog and Black dog think they will melt, so they hide together under the house eaves.

Georgia hates it, she puts her ears back and blinks everytime a rain drop hits her head.

Kenai hates it. You literally have to drag his flailing body outside into the rain.

Bella will go out and do what she needs to do in order to get back in FAST, Elle will hold it almost all day and only go when it is an emergency... the yorkies dont go out in the rain at all really.

Normally rain doesn't bother them. But these downpours that are heavy and flooding the yard and accompanied by wind . . . they are not fans. And really I can't blame them. I have stayed in the house the past 3 days myself. Fortunately they find their moments to head out and do what needs to be done. I feel bad for them. Makes me wish I could build a little covered area for them. In reality, we don't normally get this much rain so usually there would be no need.

Not a care in the world. In fact, the wetter the better. Bandit loves the rain, heavy rain, snow, sleet etc.

Murph, Mick and Abbey don't care - they'll sit out in the rain and contemplate life... (these are dogs who have no problem jumping in the lake in the winter and walking home with icicles hanging off of them). The only time they don't want out is during a thunderstorm... Riley is learning to ignore the weather - we were out this morning playing fetch in the rain. He did stalk up and growl at the fireplace last night - I think it was the first time he'd heard rain hitting the metal chimney cap. :D

Our West Highland White Terrier does the same thing!! It doesn't rain all that much here ... but when it does he LOVES it, chasing rain drops and trying to catch them in his mouth. He blinks like crazy but it doesn't stop him, he's determined to catch the rain.

On the other hand, our Golden Retriever hates rain. Anything more than a light sprinkle and he refuses to go out. He doen't "go" in the house .... he just prefers to hold it forever rather than go out in the rain. Rains are generally short-lived here ... so most times we just wait for it to let up a bit. When it doesn't we do get him to go out in it eventually, because we worry how it could affect his health to "hold it" for so very long. He's one of those dogs that would sooner keel over than "go" in the house.

We were a little surprised at how much he despises rain. (He's a fairly recent shelter adoption ... had him about a year now.) The female Golden we had previously LOVED rain ... and would try to catch rain drops like our Westie does.

Our Bichon hates water and moisture of any kind. She walks around damp spots on the sidewalk even on the hottest days. She used to stop eating about 24 hours before rain would start. Then she learned that she had to take walks even in the rain.

Our Bichon/Shih Tzu mix does not care about water. She is just as happy walking in rain as she is on the dry days.
