I am so proud of my dogs, for having a talent or skill that they can do.

I would like to share these pics of my Charlie, granted they are not that clear but you can get the idea. The pics are from last winter.

I also would like everyone to share a talent or skill that their dog is happy to do. It could be anything; like a trick, or something they have learned on their own. Maybe cleaning the cats ears, or whatever......

Charlie, Shiloh (not in pics) love to retrieve birds. In the pictures you can tell how big the geese actually are. And what a blessing it is to have your dog help you put dinner on the table

5) Just an all around awsome buddy to spend time with!!!

and while he doesn't help put food on the table, he hasn't taken it from the table either

That is exactly what I meant, dogs are so much more than just companions... they are helpers and earn their keep way more than what we even consider.

Well, there's herding the cows, guarding the farm, frightening coyotes off, frightening pretty much everyone off, lol! Eradicating vermin (fast food in dog-talk), patrolling the boundaries.

Bimmer is the teacher and disciplinarian, keeps order and gives the order to go check on things.

Shiva and Kharma make sure there are no leftovers left out of the refrigerator.

Not to mention they all work very hard at making sure I never feel unloved or unwanted or alone

Yea the farmers tell us..

"If your only gonna take your limit then don't bother hunting here"

Of course we only take our daily limits. And they love it when we bring back some cooked goose meat later.

Charley and I love seeing the Honkers come back, Saje. We just think they're beautiful and we love hearing them.

I understand they mate for life.

Don't think it's a "job" but Chyna knows that if she wants to sit on "dads'" lap, she has to go get a toy (or else she will chomp on him) so she will go to her "toybox" and carefully pick out a toy and then go jump up on his lap.
