im looking for a sturdy grid made out of plastic, that air/liquid can pass through.

the closest thing ive found is called waffle grid in 11" x 11" sections and comes in a 6 pack made for glass cutters...

ive seen refernce to what im looking for through fish forums, people using it under rock structures to keep the rocks directly off the glass, they said they got it in the lighting section of their home supply store...

im looking for it to make an indoor potty system for my dads boat thats better than the pee pads which their cocker wont use cause he wants grass.
ive seen these patio potties online with this type of grid under an artificial turf and knwo i could make something similar (yet at a fraction of the cost) but not knowing the name of what im looking for is making this darn neer impossible!

the desighn is already out there but at 200+ it aint going to fit in my parents normal budget...but poor chalire dog cant go to the boat right now cause he wont pee on anything unless it resembles grass (hes fine with artifical turf) and when were out on the water even if we do cut the trip short so he can go potty we then have to walk for awhile before finding a small patch of grass...

I know what you mean. As with the others, a lighting supply store may have it. It's white plastic with square holes throughout, the holes being about 1/2" x 1/2".

Oddly enough I see that stuff all the time at the bottom of those self serve soda machines...the ones that pour when you push the button? They line the trays so the ice catches but liquid goes thru...is that whatcha mean?

My son had this type of plastic grid that came as part of his aquarium filter. If you google "under gravel filter" you should find what you are looking for. You can buy them where ever you buy aquarium supplies.

My question is , how long are your boat trips and how long can they normally wait ?? Most dogs can hold at least 5 hours unless they are pad trained .

Yes, I know what you're talking about. It's called Fluorescent lighting covers/ diffusers, and in home depot can be found either with the fluorescent lighting bulbs, or the lighting fixtures themselves. It's usually in the electrical department.

Yep. Home Depot. You might find bigger sections along with the building material/insulation/etc my Home Depot only keeps small sections with the lighting.

I never used them to keep the rocks off the glass. I used it to keep my cichlids from thrashing each other (with varying degrees of success).
