know of a website to look up dog rescues in my area? My friend wants a designer dog and Im trying to direct her towards shelters and rescues instead of "breeders". Im looking for thinkgs like peek-a-poo rescues and stuff like that.

go to petfinder.com.. they have rescues in every state and town and near you.. go there and see what they have.. thats how i got one of my dogs.. good luck..

Search for both Poodles and Pekes. You are sure to find a poo mix.

If you go on petfinder and click on the rescue group/ shelters link at the top there are a number of them in Albany.
