get checked out as soon as you can. The sooner you get it checked out the sooner you can start treatment for whatever they may find. Hang in there girl

What has been worrying me is that its happening more and more frequently.
But the fact that I'm dealing with it daily now and its interfering with my ability to do things on my own, like shopping etc, and I have to cut things short or just not at all has been the real kicker.

I'm kind of afraid I'll go in and they won't find anything wrong with me at all, and think I'm making it all up.
What you mention about it getting worse & it interfering with your daily life is a *very* big deal & you deserve to be taken very seriously, insurance or not.

If they don't find anything at first, just remember, you need to be your own biggest advocate. You are NOT crazy, you are NOT making this up. Doctors unfortunately do see a lot of fakers, so if they brush you off, you need to make sure they realize that you are *not* kidding around.

Sending hugs & good vibes your way!

Charlie,

I don't want to scare you or anything, but if I had a clinic (i'm getting my doctorate in physical therapy) right now...I would sit down with you, can call the doc & get you in somewhere ASAP.

The fact that your whole face is feeling numb/tingly, along with your fingers/hand....I am really worried that we are talking about a possible brain issue. A solely inner ear issue wouldnt be causing all those other symptoms (but it would more explain the dizzyness). I understand it is obscenely expensive...but do your best to get to a free/reduced pay clinic ASAP & get a cat scan/MRI (talk to them in great detail to ensure you are getting the more appropriate test).

Maybe it is something easy to treat like anemia...but if its not...and it is worsening (is it??)...then do you REALLY want to mess with it? This is your life & health...we are talking about.
I agree with Dreeza here. You need an MRI of your brain among other things, it sounds like. You mustn't wait longer. Find somewhere where you can get some assistance. There has to be some state help for people who can't afford it. I know there is. Don't say that they'll just think this or that....like you're making it up. Don't give up before you even start. Your symptoms are reminiscent of a few possibilities and some may be gravely serious. You need to persue this or you may have a much worse problem on your hands. Please look for help now. Take care of yourself hon.

It's been going on that long?

Check to make sure it's not Lyme, CD. :( *worries*
this is what I was concerned about--knowing the neurological symptoms my husband had when he had lyme disease, it is a possibility. I agree with all the others though--these are serious symptoms and should be checked out--not something to dismiss. I am concerned for you.

I agree with Dreeza.

You need to get to a Doctor. Your discriptions are sounding more and more like a disturbed brainstem and inner ear : in other words your blood supply is limited to those areas. Untreated condition is a stroke. Not the mini ones either.

From what you posted about your headaches over the years .. that was your random warning sign ... now you should act quickly.

If indeed this was Vertigo, you would know it without question. The world would be spinning around you .. like you just got off a sit and spin.

Go to the ER. JMO.

All I can say is good luck. I've had just about the exact same symptoms for years with absolutely no explanation, no pattern, etc.

I didn't test positive for anemia, but eating enough iron does help. Going to the chiropractor also helped, a lot. Are you more stressed than usual, and do the muscles in your neck feel tight?

With me, it happens kind of on and off. Sometimes I feel like that for the better part of a week, then it will only happen once for an hour or so in the next few weeks, I'll go three months feeling fine, and then I'll feel it every few days for another month or so.

Your in a sticky spot where you have insurance so no free clinic will see you and a hospital is not going to try to get you into a program when you already have one. But with whats going on I think you should suck it up and go. Medical bills can add up quick but they are not like other debts. You can pay them off slowly and they do not count against you like credit card debt. Some hospitals will work with you to reduce the bill after you have been billed if you bring in proof of income.

I have a lot of the same symptoms you do and have had a pituitary tumor. Honestly have been avoiding the doc like a plague and have horrible migraines again and tripping so I am worried its back and worse:eek: My mom and grandma both have the same weak spells I get though and they have never gotten any diagnosis. I know for me I got so sick of hearing do this or that test I was just done at a point. But you do need to know what is going on for your safety and others-you can't risk passing out while driving etc.

It could literally be so many things. And it may be a frustrating process to find out whats wrong but at least try.

Does your insurance make you get a referral or can you just make an appointment with a neurologist? I know when I get really nervous or anxious my blood sugar will drop as well as my blood pressure. Drug stores usually have monitors in them where you can get it tested but I don't really advise driving off to a drug store when your feeling like that! Many are not all that accurate anyway.
