docking and cropping

I have come in at the end, as usual, as I think I am asleep while all you guys are posting! Having owned 2 Boxers and 1 Rotti, all with cropped tails I would honestly say that having lived in Europe for 8 years I wouldn't even consider it now, not that I would be allowed to as it is illegal over here and I just love seeing Boxers with their natural tails. I wanted to rescue a Boxer from Spain about a year ago, and just because he had a docked tail I couldn't even bring him into the country for fear of risking a CHF5000 fine for owning an animal with a docked tail! If I am ever lucky enough to own a Boxer again, and if I am living in a country that permits docking, I would opt for the natural look every time.

Hey, my best friend, Sasha, was a Dobie, cropped ears and tail, when I was 10 years old. I loves Dobbie's....

Some of my best memories were from her.... I still don't agree with that (cropping) now, but that is your point of view. But HOW did we get from where we were to here on this thread.

After posting A LOT of threads here, I am not bowing out, just bowing out gracefully. This is just not my type of site. I did try, and I met a lot of great people, those who I spoke too, you know my email address, I just can't stand the hype here.

I feel like I am about to be spanked with a newspaper or have my ears cropped. Still bless you all that are so NOT informed.... I bless your dogs and animals. Keep your debates, contervercy and ill-informed information going. While you keep loving your "doggies," I will still making a difference, oh yeah..and money...without making the dogs into working monkeys and not altering them to "specified" modificatons.....so this site is just one of many.......

youre right it does bleed. I am in my second to last year of med school... it is dead. No nerves... all skin will bleed whether it has nerves or not... i know it is painful ive dont my fair share of watching LOL... which is not cool either...

it is like the vulva area of a woman... no offense guys... it is called a hood... it has no nerves. that is the foreskin of a man... because men were women before they were men. LOL... the ovaries go from their position now to the testicle position created a penis which is your nevermind... dont wanna be graphic to many kids... but you know what im talking about. anyway... the forskin has no nerves... where the pain is, is being held down and also the pulling of the penis...and catching the edge of the actual penis

did you know most dobies dont even feel their ears after being cropped i mean the pain... because of meds.. secondly it isnt cosmetic... it is for medical purposes... fewer ear infections are found in dobermans and germans and other breeds with their ears erect than those like poodle... springer spaniel. and so on.

that is one of the main reason most people want it done... it prevents alot of problems that other breeds deal with.

Yeah, I know exactly what your talking about. LOL. I can tell you that a womans vulva does have nerves, im talking from experience.

I had my boobs done under ant.... It hurt like a mother afterwards....
I had 2 molars taken out about 3 weeks ago, after the novacaine wore off.. OUCH>>> Don't tell me the ears don't hurt. The ear infections thing is in debate. I have really LARGE tonsils in a medical journal... they didn't take them out.... even though I had Strep. a lot. They felt if I kept them in, it would fight infection. They were right, after 11 years old,l have never had strep again. Also, a lot of vets would disagree with you, about cropping of the ears. That's why I inquired about personal information. I know several vets who would love to eduate people. Guess this will get me kicked off the board now.....It's not like I am going to come to your house.... have much better things to do, like running a business and a family. Was not asking about personal info. for a bad cause.... I have my website listed... you could have had it faxed, mailed emailed etc...... I have no secrets.....

ear infections are a debate it is statistical fact LOL.. and boobs do hurt... it is ugly too... no offense... JMO.... and ears dont hurt.. because the pain med LOL... if the doctor doesnt give pain meds he is inhumane but 98% if the cropping vets do give meds... that means no pain

... i know my dobes were so darn crazy on rimadyl i dont think they noticed.. let me show you apicture of my poor baby...
