from what i have seen, you are about to be attacked.... if the docking never took place, this person would not have this problem. now, there are more complications. i have been reading posts here, and if you are as new as me then you have some real problems with people disagreeing with you. i don't by the way.

What? Nobody is going to be attacking anybody BUT everyone is free to state their opinion in a respectful way. That's how this forum is run.

Active pup is just the title that new members get. You can change it in your user profile

All that I meant is when you are talking to someone directly, you should use your quote button, so nothing gets too confusing.

(hsnepp) too many arguments about so many subjects. cant quote them all, it would be waste of time. just talking now.
I didn't ask about arguments.

Why are you talking about arguments? WDL was asking a question about her dog's tail. I am utterly confused.

I think you are misunderstanding me, I didn't want you to post anything.

I meant for future use. If you are talking to a particular person, it is best to use a quote then answer with your reply.

Well, this is confusing.

Julie was saying that if you quote the text of the post you are referring to we will know who you are addressing. You don't have to quote anything from other threads. That would just be a pain.

Hsnepp, you are not making any sense. And why would you tell someone they will be attacked on this forum? That is not true, we deal with people who attack personally. We don't mind if someone is passionate about the issue though. What exactly did you see that is giving you this conclusion?

I found some info.

(I think this is what your dog has, But I am not a Vet!!!)

Tail dock neuroma
http://www.pdsa.org.uk/pages/page04_5_showa.cfm?q_id=10004

Some more short things I found, from other sites.

Can docking cause problems in later life?

There is considerable scientific evidence that docking can lead to complications, including occasionally death of the puppy. In later life the stump of the tail may be painful due to the formation of neuroma (nerve tissue scar) in the stump. This also occurs following amputation of limbs in people and causes considerable discomfort.
