IN 10 years on the internet ive seen dozens of people who create alias to troll, to sell pups, to simply have something to do.
Some simply have NO lives it is very common.

Here if you get called on it thanks to this being a huge site you can if push comes to shove verify who someone is. Or dog a google on them if they give their real name that is.

I like most would not mind verifying who I am and what ive done.
And the best part is i found at least a half dozen people here who live close to me who can meet the real person vs the net persona ( in my case im exactly the same) Yet in 10 yrs online and dog working showing rescue etc. I found most people are not who they are online in person . They seem to be able to talk big via the keyboard but do not match it in real life.

This in general excludes this board because it looks like they can pick up on just about any thing that smells fishy.. Which is why I like it so much.

I couldn't be anyone else and i feel that a great deal of people here are just as genuine, it is sad that someone would feel they need entertainment by hopped up drama. Better to get a hobby or volunteer for a worthy cause. A better use of energy and less depleteing of mine.

There's a difference between protecting one's identity online (very smart move!) and outright story-making. Sort of bizarre when/if it happens, especially here.

Problem with spinning tales is they often spin around a bite you where the sun doesn't shine. They're hard to keep up so why bother? Honesty is easier and appreciated.

Hypothetically speaking, not directing this towards anybody in particular, just the topic.

I dodn't read all the thread -cuz it made me head hurt- but if the pup died under bad circumstances don't give them another. If it was an accident thats diffrent.

Do the mods here ever do ISP checks? That's what happens on some of the other (non-doggy) sites I've been on if someone's identity is called into question.

You'd be surprised what people will do. I collect 80s toys and there are a few very established trolls who regularly try to sneak onto various forums. Places where people just chat about TOYS, for crying out loud! At least one of them is completely psycho . . . Gets a kick out of gaining the trust of newbies and then trashing them in the most foul ways you can imagine.

Not that I'm suggesting anyone here is that bad . . . You'd know if you had a Lexi. But you can't always take people at face value, even on pets forum, sadly.

I actually wasn't talking about trolls. Of course there are morons out there with no lives, who will troll any forum they can find. These people also stick around for about a week, then leave or get banned. They don't stay for months and post every day, and try to appear helpful and knowledgeable.

I think most of us who frequent this forum would be perfectly happy to verify who we are. I certainly would.

Otch, you've been a great help to me offsides. So it's a good time to say that you don't have to tell anybody that you do exactly what you say you do. Your advise has been patient and impeccible even though I pester you between your poop scoops! I would trust you with my dog under any circumstances.

Like I said, I have learned a lot from a number of the people on this board, and it's never been all that hard for me to tell bullcrap from downright skill anyways. I like this board a lot because there are some REAL *obvious* experts here and you all actually make a dog-dummy like me feel at home.

*Hand Raised* I'm more than happy to prove who I am. Titles I've earned with my dogs, who the dogs are out of/by, health testing, etc. are all verifiable via AKC online database, CERF online database and OFA online database as well.

I've been online for almost ten years now. I've met people on forums and dog chats that pretend to be something they aren't, and it's usually fairly easy to spot. It's also easy to check what claims they make regarding their dogs based on the web databases I listed above.

They do actually stick around. We had more than a year of the mess of a person with the dobes before(not the original thread starter). And there is another one with chows. Both of them were around a long time and the one still is.

I'm not saying I don't beleive everything people say on here but there are times I doubt a lot of it and unless you've met someone you can't really vouch much for them.I knwo on here theres bene the mess with the german shepherd girl and a lot of people felt betrayed by that. But you really never know-I guess thats not even really only on line but things like that pop up in RL too.

If the german shepherd girl you are talking about is who I think, she ahd some help with the betrayal. She also came clean and told exactly what happened. Yes it was wrong of her to support what she knew was false but I have to say seeing the reaction to her breeding; I cannot blame her for wanting some peace so she could continue learning.


Also who I am I have stated very clearly here and not lied. I do however doubt everyone has been as truthfull.

First of all, why would anyone waste their time and energy trying to keep up with their own lies. I think it takes a pretty warped individual to hold onto a farse like that....FOR WHAT??

I think that she knew who I was long before I knew who she was. So many of us in the training world know eachother or at least OF eachother. It's pretty hard for most of us to PRETEND be anything but who we are. I can't imagine what anyone feels that they would gain from deceiving others.

I'm too easy to investigate, Chaz members from my city know me and know what I do....or maybe I'd try the old man persona on for size.:yikes:

Cindr, this makes me sad. I am who I say I am and do exactly as I've stated, for a living. I love my work and have no need to make up stories about it. If I were going to pretend to be someone I'm not on an internet site, Toscas mom's right, I'd pretend to be someone much more glamorous than one in the dog business. (Especially considering I just spent 30 minutes scooping poop and hosing.) So, I do not understand why your motives here in being dishonest. What about being honest with people, why not speak the truth? Why are people out there breeding the crap out of their dogs? Why am I being attacked for no justified reason. You do not know what goes on in my life, You have not felt my pain, or seen me face to face. You and I am talking about everyone that has simply attacked me not the people that have seen the pain of the post itself.

Tell me who in their right mind could make up a story like that and or any of the others. So yes I advertised for other people, I sent the potential purchasers to the advertiser. So what! Is it better to take and smash someones good heart to peices, for what a load off their insecurities.

This would quiet everyone would it?

Also it seems you also have a Dogo at stud I have allot of connections with all 3 clubs what titles does he have? and what clearances such as Hip and baer testing?

You can block out your name and address if you dont want people to know about where you live i understand the net is a dangerous place but for breeder who advertise their tel #'s it is kinda a double edge sword .
