Kim, my family is thinking about calling her Keira. Not sure what I think about it since I'm not really into human names for dogs, but I didn't give them much say in naming Dance, so I'm not going to be picky about the pup's name. Any suggestions are welcomed though, as we would like a few names picked out before she comes home to choose from. We're having a tough time coming up with something that would be suitable for a Doberman. Oh, I also wanted to ask you (or anyone else who's had a Dobe puppy), what size of a collar will I need to get for her? Is a 10-14" good, or will she need something bigger? She'll be 9 or 10 weeks when she comes home.
Paige, I actually don't find it too hard at all for some reason. It's probably because I prefer adult dogs, but really, I love them all pretty much equally (though Miss Yellow is incredibly full of herself and loud - I don't think she'll be ours, lol) and don't really care which one we get at this point. And, one puppy is much easier than 9!
I can't believe how much work they are. It's been a couple of years since she's had a litter so I forgot almost what's all involved. Even sitting there for a couple of hours last night I kept wondering why/how anyone would/could be a breeder. Especially with two litters (for I think the first time ever in 30yrs) on the go.
Angie, I think you should get another Dobie of your own! That way looking at these pictures wouldn't be so tormenting for you.
