Not at all. I kind of hide the whole fact that I go on any forums at all lol, people already think I'm weird I wouldn't mind people knowing I read them, but my mom especially would freak if she knew I posted--she thinks everyone on the internet is a pedophile.

My boyfriend and family knows that I'm on dog forums, and the names of them. Once or twice a year I go to Ohio for a meet up with my other forum, so my family routinely hears about them. Then it's fun to try to explain to people why I'm driving to Ohio for a dog park to visit "strangers". Most don't get it.

Indeed they do. My family knows, my dad especially. Some of my friends know, but not all of them.

Nope, my family knows I go on a dog forum, but that's the extent. It was hard to explain to my mom, who is not computer saavy at all (doesn't even turn them on) how I ended up with Jasper...though being the dog lover she is it was all good, was just hard to explain.

i'm on a parenting forum also, but when it comes to my forums i'm a bit vague when it comes to family and stuff knowing. i have a good friend on the other forum with me, but she's not really into her dogs.
