No. They only wear collars if someone is coming over, going outside of the house, going for walks, vet, training, etc.

Sometimes I'll put collars on in the mornings, but sometimes I don't. I don't really have a set schedule except they always come off at night.

I used to have tons of different collars for my dogs - especially Lizzie. But I've realized that collar's aren't that important and I have better ways to spend my money than on fancy collars. Lol Now they either wear Rolled Leather collars or Nylon collars.

Boomer wears one 24/7 for ID purposes, and he wears a a cat collar. He's always walked with a harness. He's the only one because he has escaped once and we almost lost him. The other two dogs have never tried or want to escape so I don't feel like they need one.

Max always wore a collar because he was a door darter and the collar was his only source of identification. It was a choke chain, I didn't know anything back then. Whenever I bring phoebe over I take off the collar, I like how she looks without one, I like to pet/scratch that area and the sound of the tags bothers me.

Yup they all do. Regular Nylon collars but Chances is heavy duty.

My beagles are darters too, and have gotten out a few times before, and they wander.

Bailey was actually wearing 8 collars when someone found her years back :)

Chance wears this

Yes. Lucy likes to escape. (If I forget to deadbolt the door, she can twist the knob and open the door). She gets to wear her collar 24/7 so she has her tags.

It's just a cheapy one I got at target. She has pretty ones for when we're going some place special, but usually it's the cheap one.

That's basically what I do. Bailey wears a very lightweight collar w/his name and my cell number stitched on the side. It's kept quite loose so he can slip it if he gets stuck on something. He has a heavier collar for walks, and it's that collar that has his tags. B isn't a door darter and the yard is fenced, but I'm a bit nutty when it comes to him. ;)

He actually has 2 lightweight and 2 heavier collars, and I have no intention of stopping! He doesn't wear clothes and this is how I get to dress him up.

Blaze hardly ever wears a collar. Only if we are leaving the house. if we go to the dog park, collar comes off as well there. As I worry about a dog grabbing it and getting stuk on him. And he swims there and I dont want a soaked collar sitting on his neck.

He only has 2 collars. his plain green nylon do up collar and his beer mug martingal. I seem to use the martingal most.

Blaze doesnt door dash or try and escape. You can walk by this house with your dog on Blaze if told too wont move of the porch or where ever you told him to lay down. so no chance of him taking off.

Ollie has a rolled leather collar which goes on in the morning when we get the paper and usually stays on all day except if I have to kennel him .

Nope. Cocoa doesn't wear a collar. She's very good about staying in the house/on the property. And I hate the collar mark it leaves in her hair on her neck. She wears it on when she leaves the house.

Harley wears his most of the time but occasionally we will take it off if he is just hanging around the house. He has a few collars that he wears (often depending on what the sport season is :) ) and they are all nylon.

No collars here.

Why? I have multiple dogs, and I don't want to find a strangled dog in my house over play. Plus once I had to save my sister's dog from almost choking on her collar as a puppy.

Harnesses when we go out. I use harnesses over collars, because I've had incidents where they slipped out the collars, and where they choke themselves on it, plus having had a dog with glaucoma and reading the effects collars vs harnesses have on IOPs, I feel better using a harness.

Only when Pit is on leash. When I let him off to run, I usually un-clip the whole collar out of habit. Stupid really as that's the most important time to wear one I'd think..

It's a rolled leather because that's the only collar that doesn't crease his fur. Although the amount of time he actually wears a collar wouldn't be enough to actually cause a crease.

Mine only wear them when we're out on a walk or at the park. They never wear them inside.

No one wears collars in the house here, too paranoid about them getting caught. Ruby and Chai don't even have collars actually, they just have harnesses for walks. Izzie has many collars. A pink leather harley collar with rhinestones, a nylon candy striped snap one, a brown and yellow with flower nylon snap one, and her ever awesome metallic pink full studded leather collar. We don't license so the only tag izzie has is one with my phone number on it and her name and usually a charm.

Yes, all day. Maddie's comes off at night and sometimes I don't always put it back on every single morning - but she's deff not a runner or a wanderer. The others - there are too many people in and out sometimes during the day.

mine only wear collars if we are off property , at home never.

I was one of those who many years ago, had two dogs get tangled up in collars while playing, that was the end of collars for my dogs only when we are off the property..

They normally wear just a flat buckle collar when they do have them on

Meg never wears one at night, and sometimes I don't bother putting one on all day. I don't worry about her at home in our neighborhood or at the barn. She does wear a collar and tag any time we are hiking off familiar property or when we are traveling. She's not a wanderer, is never outside out of my sight except at the barn, and doesn't bolt out doors.
