We have snow and watching my two I was wondering do your dogs like or hate the snow?
Dillon was born in Hawaii, HATES snow. We have to force him out the door to potty and he gives a pathetic look then trys to jump from the patio to the lawn so he doesn't have to touch it, of course he is still in the snow. Then he stands there trying to figure out how to get back without walking in it:rofl1:
Chase was born in colorado and loves the snow, he is driving me nuts to go out constantly, which is a real treat with him in show coat:rolleyes:

My dogs don't mind snow itself, but they hate the cold. It's 40 below here right now and the dogs nor we humans want anything to do with winter at the moment!

My guys absolutely LOVE the snow. But they all behave quite differently in it...one likes to do doggy snow angels and gets serious zoomies, one sits and waits for me to throw snowballs if I don't do that quick enough she manages to throw snow at me...lol...and my other boy just runs around and watches the other goofy dogs.

Mine love snow-- and they love ice. They skate on it, chasing each other, and if they can, they break it and play with and eat the chunks.

Bimmer and Kharma love it. We'll have to see what Tallulah does, lol. I'd guess that as long as she's moving and distracted she'll have a blast, but the minute she pauses and realizes she's cold . . . :rofl1: I'll have cold, wet Pittie climbing up my leg to get into my coat

There was a little bit the other night. She found a patch and was rooting around in it and snuffling - until she realized her feet were cold. She shot four feet straight up into the air and flung herself sideways so as not to land back down in it.

Kaiden and the Long haired whippets love it. Sport thinks its great.. the sky plays with him

He was catching snow flakes!

Dekka gets cold easy and walks right behind me when there is snow. (could also be because she is only 11 inches tall) Snip loves life.. so I don't know if he likes snow or not lol. Zo doesn't seem to have an opinion either way.

Personally 1 month is too much IMO!! I know we need it for water and skiing but I don't really see why it can't just stay in the mountains where it belongs!

Ada loves the snow, but the dobes get sick of it after awhile. Though I think they usually get cold before they stop liking the actual white stuff.

Buster has never seen it :(

We got him when we lived in the NT, not a chance in hell of it snowing up there. Now we live in south east QLD but it still doesn't get cold enough :(

I really want to see what he thinks of it, I wilkl go down south with him one winter I think and see what he thinks of real low temperatures.

Noodle hates it, although it's hilarious to watch her the morning after a substantial one-she has to jump and bounce her way through drifts.

Ruby lives for it. It's currently 4 degrees F outside, with a windchill of -19, wind blowing at 25 mph, and she's still begging to be let out to run and play.

Allie doesn't mind it, but I think she's in it more to play with Ruby than anything. Anything Ruby does, Allie has to do it too.

Luna had never seen snow (as far as I know.... maybe when she was about 3 months old she did, but I didn't get her until she was 1) until this week.... we got a dusting the other night, some on the ground and about an inch on our porch and cars. She wasn't particularly amused by it, and after a few minutes of deliberation, decided it was worth it to walk across the snowy porch to get back to the warm house. Generally she goes into a little bit of a depression around November when it starts getting cold (like, 60s), but she'll perk up again the first day we're back in the 90s.

Feels like it last 3 months to many for me lol. I dont mind snow, But I too could be with out febuary as well. We are covered in snow here too. Which makes Blaze as happy as can be. He makes doggy snow angles the whole time he is outside. At the dog park the other day he was making some, at the top of a hill (can you see where this is going), dummy kept rolling, closer and closer to the slope of the hill, and before I could say anything, he was GONE speeding down the icy snowy hill, doggy toboganing lol.

That's interesting how the trend goes. It seems like the dogs that never were raised with it don't like it much. My dogs like it if it's not too cold. Well...Chulita could do without, unless we're on a walk. But right now it's 0 degrees. (Toller, and I was whining about 0 and you have 40 below!) Well, 0 is still cold and it's suppose to go below zero this week. I asked Chulita, "Do you need to go out and pee pee?" She usually comes to the door when I ask her. This time, she glared at me over her shoulder as she made her way under the free standing propane stove I have. It has legs and is about 6-8" off the floor. The Chi's like to crawl under it and snooze in the warmth. So, I guess that was her answer to going outside. LOL.

It seems like the big dogs have more fun running and playing in it. Jose` is sort of undecided. He likes it okay I guess. But yesterday morning, we woke up to over a foot and fresh snow and he didn't know what to do when I let him out on the porch for his morning pee. He didn't think he should go down the steps. I think he knew he'd get buried. So, I had to hurry and shovel a path for him. LOL.

Nice! you guys finally have snow.. (Hubby plows snow in TO) We have had a good covering (10 inches or so) for weeks now. I much prefer snow to the hard frozen ground with the horses.

My labs and goldens at work probably never saw snow before (they're 1-2 years old and came from a shelter, so presumably grew up in this area), and they LOVED the snow. But they love the cold anyway.

Snow gives Strider the googley-eye zoomies. He seems to know somewhere in his bones that it is what he was made for. This morning on his potty walk, as we passed each car in the parking lot he let his mouth hang open and scraped the snow off every single bumper with his lower jaw as we passed, and then ate the snowball at the end. He seemed disappointed at the end of the row :rofl1:. He spent over an hour doing 35 mph donuts in the pasture too.
