Miss Molly hates baths with a passion. Even though we do her in the shower with warm water, she stands there shivering and pretending to be sooo abused. As soon as it's over though and we're towelling her off, she goes nuts. She tears around the house, jumping completely over the couch without touching it, lol. She throws her toys around, barks, rolls on the carpet, scares the living daylights out of the cat and spins in circles. I've just finished cleaning up the aftermath a few minutes ago. Damage total: one cat with its fur permanently on end, two folded hall rugs (where she's skidded on them), water splashed up the walls (where she's shaken herself before i could get the towel on her) and one exceedingly pissed off fiance. He threatens to wash her outside with the hose every time this happens. He's a big softy who loves her really though, so it will never really happen. Does anyone else go through this? or is it just me? :D

I had a border collie when I was a child that did this after a bath. We encouraged the behavior by using high squeeky voices after the bath and really getting her excited.:D

My Newf's never get any sort of emotion during or after baths. They just trod along as normal...same old routine;)

Misha goes a little crazy, runs and skids around the house, shakes all over the place, attacks her towel and then throws herself into her bed. I usually have to take a shower straight afterwards - and mop the floor! :)

LOL. I don't bathe Sam, she doesn't need it. I bathe Harley though. I love his 'show' coat. He just stands there with those eyes going 'Mommy. No. No water. No shampoo. No.' :p ya gotta love bouviers.

both my dogs are like that. They stand there looking abused until you start toweling them off and they'll start hopping around. Once you open the bathroom door they go tearing through the house knocking over chairs and endtables.

My dogs go nuts. Running around, rubbing up against things, shaking. Colby runs around at top speed - one of the reasons she's nicknamed "Physco Mutt"!

Yea!! Adrienne does. She runs around the house in circles really fast and then rubs herself all over the oriental rug in the living room... lol

My childhood collie used to go mad! Rubbing and shaking and totally over-excited. If she got the chance to run outside and straight into the mud, she would! ;)

As for Bodhi - she has only had one kind of 1/2 bath. It was more of a quick was than a bath, so we have yet to discover what she does! But she has a much shorter coat, I have never really lived with a short-haired dog before!

Sadie doesn't go too nuts after bathtime. She will just rub her face on the carpet with her butt in the air, hopping around. Nora, on the otherhand, goes bonkers! She will grab any toy lying on the ground, run circles around the living room table, and stop for a second to look at you and bark, then it all begins again. Poor Sadie; Nora will literally use her as a kickboard. And she loves to tug on her ears on a pass by (ear tug)! lol

Precious goes nuts after bathtime. She will run and jump on my bed and roll around in the covers making sure to soak them all. I just laugh and change the covers when she is finished with her dramaqueen act.
Spud gets a little agitated, but other than that, he just stands there to get dried. Although he does bite the air that comes out of the hairdryer. LOL
Baths don't bother Roxy that much. As soon as she is done, I wrap her in a towel for about 5 minutes, then voila!

My dog is the same. We have an old quilt that we spread out on the living room floor. He does the lay and roll everytime. He's so funny. We can dry him off really well, but he thinks he has to help out by drying himself on the quilt.

Yes...my dogs all act really excited AFTER their bath. They're still not really keen on bath time. Jack and Gus do love their warm towels from the dryer though.:D

My oldest dog gets scared and shakes in the corner of the bath since he is long haired he shakes a lot after word and soaks every were. Then rubs himself dry against the new couch. One of the 1 year olds will stand there and take it but not enjoy it and the other one enjoys it a whole bunch especially if it is warm and she goes outside and plays in the hose(her favorite game.

My dog blackie does that non-stop!!! After "an abused" shower he gives me a little fit by growling when I'm towel drying him, even though he wants it!! Then he runs out the bathroom straight to the couch around the livingroom to the long hallway down the kitchen to my room, and goes through the covers and back and forth, after a 20min run he goes back to the room all cold and under the covers.
