I know it's not a very original subject ;) , but I was just wondering. Do you have one? If you don't why?

I'm the proud mommy of Bagels, my moggie (pretty much means 'mutt' but for cats). He is the sweetest boy in the world. Sleeps with me every night, I'd be lost without him. I'm a cat lover through and through. :D

I have 2 cats, and I hope to never be without one. I've had cats for as long as I can remember. We went about a year without one after our 19 year old cat died. Then we got the 2 we have now. They're 5 years old. We didn't get them at the same time. They're the same age, but we got them about a month apart when they were kittens.

Well I do not have a cat right now b/c our standered poodle HATES cats adn it just would not be good to get a cat right now!!!

But a cat has to have a good temperment for me to get him/her because I do not want a cat that is mean and does not like people and dogs like some cats are!!!

But I REALLY like cats that are big white and fluffy!!!!! :D

Yup... wouldn't know what to do without a cat in a lap or underfoot or thundering through the house or 'talking' constantly... Dare I admit we have nine housecats?

Yes, I have a cat, Bosco, and when I go to College, my parents are keeping him here, so I'm getting either a hymalayan, or siamese from the animal shelter. :) I love kitties, and I feel so bad for the little cuties in the shelter!

I have always had cats, and after my 2 Cornish Rex cats passed away 2 years ago, I finally have another kitten ~ a Sphynx kitten with a HUGE personality :)

Nope, I don't own a cat. My brother and my mom are both severely allergic to them. I'd love to have a cat in the future, but my mom would never be able to visit me or anything so I'll probably just stick with dogs..

Nope, for a few reasons. I had an amazing cat growing up, and I think he spoiled me for any other cat. He was a humane society kitten that grew to be a whopping 24 lbs. He absolutely ruled our house. He was an indoor/outdoor cat, and an insanely good hunter. Birds, chipmunks, and other rodents were easy. We got a call from our next-door neighbors one night, letting us know that they just saw Rocky chasing a fox out of their yard:yikes: . If my old dog ever got too rough with him, Rocky would grab onto the side of Medley's face with both paws, and twist his head, effectively bringing Medley down. I can't imagine any other cat living up to Rocky!

Also, it is pretty much taboo these days (at least where I am) to let cats be indoor/outdoor pets. I understand the concerns, and would be heartbroken if my pet ever got hit by a car (Rocky died of kidney failure), but I can't imagine keeping a cat indoors all the time. It doesn't seem fair. Since I can't handle my conflicting beliefs, I just don't own a cat.

THis will be Eddie's last fall. I have one but not for much longer. He refuses to be a housecat and i don't think at his advanced age he could go one more winter. WE have tried rigging him up a heated outhouse but he will not have anything to do with it. He is so old his grey hair has gone white along the back. Right now he is enjoying the last of his senior days, mostly he sleeps.

cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria! Wouldn't want it any other way. its very entertaining to watch a 10lb cat intimidate a 65lb working dog, (she knows she can't kill it, daddy's watching) and have a wonderul playing relationship with the other cat. The one cat will instigate chase and play games like he was a big dog, its hilarious. Those two are buds in the truest sense. but the dog and the other cat, they just tolerate each other.

I have a cat but I can't say for certain that I'll own in the future.

To put it simply...I don't like cats. My cat is the only cat I've actually ever liked because he acts like a dog. Sooo whether or not I get one in the future would depend...if there is cat that desperately needs a home (which is how we got Jinx, otherwise I never wanted a cat), then yeah I'd take it...but I don't think I'd ever "plan" on getting a cat.

Yep, I have two kittens who are almost six months old. They are sisters and they are Siamese/Balinese. [For those who don't know Balinese is basically a Siamese with long hair.]
Their names are Molly and Polly. Molly is a lilac point. She is so very gorgeous and delicate. She is beautiful and a perfect calendar specimen. She is so graceful! Even when she plays she does it gracefully! When she's sleeping I could so frame the picture!
Polly is the opposite! She is adorable, though. She is a seal point and is quite the strong personality! She has a loud meow and I can't count how many times I have woken up with her face in mine meowing for breakfast time. She inhales her food quite literally; when she eats and I pick her up from Molly's bowl, etc. she makes a sucking noise! :p She is trouble, trouble!! :D
They are such best friends, though!
I love my girls and although no one could EVER replace them when they go, I will probably always have cats (multiple, so he/she doesn't get lonely of course.)
