Do you have a favorite?

No. People tend do think I prefer Dance over the other two, but that's not true. I just have a different relationship with her, and she's such a super easy dog to live with and be around, so I do often enjoy her company more than I do the Dobermans... but that doesn't mean I love her more than I do them. I love Ripley just as much as I do Dance, but he's very good at trying my patience, and therefore I get a little frustrated with him regularly. Which to some people would mean that I don't love him as much as I do Dance, which isn't true. And I don't really have a close relationship with Keira, but I love her as much as I do Dance and Ripley also. My relationship with all of them is different, but I love them all equally just the same and do not have a favourite.
Unless Ripley is being really jerky... in which case, the girls are definitely my favourites, until I forgive him, LOL.

I admit, I did pick favorites. But that's not to say I didn't love them equally, because I did. When I had 3 dogs, I would switch between favorites. I loved all three of them, but Lucy and Holly were my heart dogs. It's nothing against Dixie, I just didn't have the same KIND of bond with her that I had with Lucy and Holly. Right now Chloe's my favorite because she's my only dog.
BUT I will say that when I get another dog, I don't think I'll have favorites. Chloe is so, so, so special to me, and I know it's strange but I already feel a special place for my next dog, so I think they both mean just as much to me, and I won't need a favorite. BUT if someone is being naughty, who knows. :rofl1:

I/ve never really had favorites among my dogs, but I've never had more than two at a time. Of the cats I have had favorites. I think because there are so many more of them (4-6, at various times), that favorites just tend to emerge. I suspect if I had more than 2 dogs I'd find myself having a favorite.
Tater Tot, who died suddenly last spring, was my favorite kitty. He was very sweet and loved to have his belly rubbed.
Of the remaining 4, this is my favorite: Edgar Allan Cat.
As you can see, he has a very hard life.

I don't know... both dogs have different issues and both dogs are capable of annoying me lol. If I think about it, I suppose I do actually favor Lucy more just because she's easy, calm, and I can take her anywhere without having to worry. But the reality of it is, I don't spend a lot of time with her. On a good day, I favor Juno, but she has more bad days than good, so...

Really, though, Blackie was my favorite. I'm anxiously awaiting getting a new puppy for a shot at that bond again. Chloe comes close, but her issues cause too much stress for me to really enjoy her most of the time.

I do think Buster is my number 1 and probably always will be. We communicate so easily, I can send him though a different gate with a quite "hey Buzz, we're using the top gate today" and he gets it. He's like a person with his personality, he "gets" things the other dogs never will. He's just not like the other dogs. We know each other back to front, I can read him so easily and him to me. We're just so bonded.
Quinn is my second favourite, she's everything I want in a dog. She's athletic, intelligent, highly trainable and wants to learn. Very active and demanding but really really sweet. I've only known her for a few months though and we've still got a lot of a relationship to build.
Mac and I arn't very close, I just don't have much of a connection with her, she's very sweet and I do love her but we just don't click at all.
