I woke to 20 degree weather today. In Mississippi. I am so happy :D

I looooove cold weather. Yeah yeah I know, to you northern folk this is like opening the refrigerator...which is why I want to move up north as soon as possible. I will trade miserable neverending summers for miserable neverending winters all day long.

So how about everyone else? Do you enjoy winter?

Never have. Never will.

The only reason why I even remotely enjoy the cold, is because of Christmas. Besides that, I just hate the cold.

Then again... I am from Wisconsin.

Nope. Snow would be pretty once a year for some pictures. But otherwise, go away. Winter is slippery and dangerous, getting to work is miserable and even going fir a walk seems unbearable sometimes lol. I think there are aspects of winter that are pretty but to actually live in it is not fun at all.

Honestly, while I don't really enjoy BEING cold, this time of year with cooler weather still makes me happy for whatever reason. I can't even really put my finger on what it is. But yesterday we had our first bit of a snow flurry (barely, and nothing stuck, just a little bit of a snowglobe effect) and it had me dancing around the house. Inside the house. Because I don't want to be cold for an extended amount of time.

So, yeah, I do enjoy it, but I don't know why. :lol-sign:

I'd be fine if it stayed around -6 or -10 celcius. But it doesn't. It drops to anywhere between -25 C and -35 C on the worst days and then you can't do anything. I'm lucky to get the dog to do his business on days like that.

I really enjoy the snow that comes with the cold, but not the cold itself. I like 30 degrees, not the negatives haha.

No, I hate it, for us it usually doesn't get cold until around Thanksgiving, though this year it got cold sooner ... I hate having to put on three layers just to feed the horses, or play outside with the dogs ... or do anything outside. I get exercise induced asthma when it's cold so keeping with my running schedule is harder.

I just hate it, if I had the money I would buy a winter house in Hawaii and flee there with the dog until spring.

Yes I enjoy it for the most part. My ideal temperature is 40-50 degrees. But I can deal with colder. Preferably not too too cold.

I hate any weather over around 70 degrees. TOO HOT. I live in the wrong part of the country because we frequently have 100+ weather. One summer we had over 50 days of triple digits. Awful.

I don't like cold weather, I LOVE it.

My one iffy spot on England is its lack of truly cold weather/snow. I really need to live in like...Vermont. I did really enjoy all the snow that happened in NYC last year but unfortunately I moved farther south so I'm less likely to have that this year.

I like winter. I like my late fall hikes too. I don't mind 20's for temps. I'd prefer 28-35 all winter highs. last year was a bit much. There were weeks on end we didn't get above zero and many days we were in the negative teens and 20's withOUT the windchill. That gets old

No NOT AT ALL! And it makes me a terrible Canadian... LOL

I do think it's pretty and if I can plant myself in front of the fire with a good book and admire from afar, I'm cool.... But having a job and a dog means going OUT in it... Ugh!!!

I guess it also comes down to what you feel is cold.

I am fine down to -5C which is 23F Any colder than that no thank you. I prefer 10C/50+ I used to live in Winnipeg as a kid. Never again. I hate hate that bitter cold that makes your nose feel like its freezing shut when you inhale. The cold that is so cold it hurts. YUCK. (Winnipeg gets long very cold winters -40F/C is no big deal. Everywhere you shop has places to plug your car in while you are in the stores.

YES. I would love to live somewhere with seasons, but that maybe didn't quite a lot of snow, or if it does, it doesn't accumulate a lot. Somewhere like Southern NC, or GA. This time of year is always hearbreaking for me because its still warm out most of the time.

I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't mind somewhat cold weather. If it gets below 25F, I enjoy it a whole lot less. I also do not like cold wind. Awful. That bitterness I just hate. I do enjoy a snow storm or two, but don't like constant snow/ice. I am panicky enough about traveling so throw in bad weather? I get so scared. Basically I don't mind winter, I just wish it was shorter. I also hate getting dark at 5pm.

In a perfect world/climate for me, we would have mostly days in the 50-70F range.

I could do without <40 and >80.

Um no lol.

I hate having to bundle up to go anywhere, hate having to go out and start my car early. And most of all I hate that I don't get to do much with the dogs because they don't like it either.

Snow I don't mind but anything below like 20 degrees.... ick.

The only thing I don't like is when it's icy. Because then you can't even do anything outside. Snow, cold, I love. Every step a death trap? No thanks.
