Do y'all collect anything?

I am trying to re-do the living room a little bit and I decided as a decorating touch I would start a collection of teddy bears, especially some of the more collectible ones.

So far I have a small basketfull and I must say they are quite cute, with some of them dressed in various little appealling outfits.

All of a sudden I am hunting on Ebay, at garage sales, etc. to see if I can find a few more because they are so fun.

Do y'all collect anything?

Yep! My little ponys and I have a ton now Flea marketts are my favorite things to go to on saturday mornings.

I also collect littlest pet shops and some other random stuff like breyers and rubber ducks.

I have a bunch of teddies..little Boyd bears all dressed up are so cute. I collect teapots. I prefer antique ones, and I am also picky about pattern. there is something about a teapot that just makes me smile. I have them on high shelves in every room.

gee it is more what do i not collect..sigh..i do try to stay tiny

mexican opals..i have 4 that i treasure
rocks of all kinds..big ones out in the garden little ones in a bowl inside
unusual glass bottles and items..the prettier the color the more i want it
the little plastic dogs they sell in the gumball machines and tiny glass dogs of any kind especially old..i keep them in a box unless company is coming then i put them on a shelf
live trees..i like to shape them some are not so little sigh..(i let that grapefruit get way to big!)
very old toys that appeal to me
i use to collect pogs (got 4 books)
mostly dog anything but i keep it within reason. I have limited space so it has to be pretty special.
Old illustrations and cards
old photographs still i keep it within reason..must be truly stunning
i dont do books anymore have learned my lesson after too many moves
guess that is it..i hope that is it!
confession..i have a few bears too! but i try to find ones under 4 inches and handmade with tight little stitches.
also i collect my friend's artworks if i can.

I have a collection of very old books. Old photographs, mostly from my family from many generations to present (most are not originals, but copies. Still very sentimental to me).

I have quite a few complete unopened McDonalds beanie baby sets.

Antiques,

I love 50's style and have collected: radio, mixer, spoons, french fry cutter, trash can, refrigerator containers w/lids. And much more...Most is that baked enamel white with black trim, and everything works. A refrigerator too. A table that matches. One day soon the bar in my new basement will be diner style, with checkered floor, and doo wop music. I also have a very old coca cola sign with clock and neon lights.lol

I collect random stuff that appeals to me.

I have parts of a digital camera that I took apart (the capacitor still shocks me).
I have parts of a walkie talkie that I took apart.
I have various rocks that Ithought were neat.
I have a weird piece of plastic with a weirder mark on it.
I have two hard drive magnets that are next to impossible to remove from each other (suckers are STRONG, pushing the same poles together is impossible, they fly off before they touch).
I have a large gear that I don't know where it goes but it appealed to me so I took it. Still has oil on the bottom part of it.
I have a tile from our old bathroom that we ripped out.
I have a tile from our pool's siding that fell off and we never bothered to replace it.
I have a rock that has a fine white powder on it from crashing that rock against another rock to smash the jawbreaker that was on the inital rock.
I also have the fragment of the rock that did the cracking because after it broke the jawbreaker the rock itself broke.
I have various ninja stars made out of nails and weighted with quarters.

....I collect junk basically.


Oh and I guess I collect records, too. But I don't know if it counts as collecting if you actually utilize the thing you collect. (love my records)

I collect animal figurines. I have hundreds of them.
I also collect animal stamps and postcards.
I also collect anything that is animal related but mainly dogs.

I collect Lighthouses and anything withg lighthouses on them. I also collect the tins that you get at Christmas time with popcorn in them. Labs, puppies, kittens, snow scenes, ect. I keep the dogs tennis balls and rope toys in them.

I'm sure there's more. Most importantly, what do my collections collect? Well, DUST, of course!

I forgot about green glass objects. not the usual things, but old, old unique bottles and such. it's one of the things I scour flea markets & antique shops for. this is something I just started to collect, and I'm gonna be extremely picky due to space. I only have 3 pieces right now...they look so pretty when the sun hits them. I love green...the color of spring!
