do dogs become more protective if there leader is bleeding/menstrual cycle? Or has nothing to do with dogs or wolfs way they act or treat that member or leader in the pack when wounded or bleeding? (periods in members) I am interested to know. Guess if you dont know, like to hear what you got to say.

i would think that their reactions would be different. menstrual cycle and being wounded are two completely diferent things andi think they can differentiate between the two.

Yes, Harry is mega protective of Sophie when she's in heat. Just hates other dogs if we're out. But that was when he was intact. Buster has met many intact males while Sophie is in heat, if they hump her to much he gets a bit PO but otherwise is fine.
Oh.. should add. Sophie is our 40kg mastiff/boxerX, she only EVER seems to attract dogs 5kg or smaller, meaning they used to slip through the fence, we would always supervise when they were around and lock her safely away when we left as I know even the smallest dogs can be tricky. 10 years and still no pregnancy so we must be doing something right.

are you talking about female dogs in heat or are you talking about Humans on their period?

Why is this spam?

It's a valid question that other members have asked before.

This isn't spam... spam is something pointless or an advert.

As for posting on more than one board... I know a few people who use differnt boards and ask the same things on all of them.

Different members, different rules - different replies.

Hardly unusual.

I really can't see spam, I can see a young person posting on a few dog forums though.

No harm in it is there.

Herschel I'm with you also, this reminds of the person who posted here for advice then stole the threads and posted them on their own website as advice.

I know horses act differently when a woman is menstrating. My dogs always seem a little more interested in sniffing cause they can smell the blood. They've never acted weird or aggressive though.

My dog doesn't seem to notice.

But sometimes other dogs, at the park or whatever, seem more interested in sniffing around there.
