Hey,

Ive recently moved into a new flat with my dog Blake.

From the word go he has been acting very distressed, crying and barking his head off at night and especially when I leave the house.

Also he isnt going to the bathroom around here in the new garden etc, I know and understand that its all new to him, Im just trying to find ideas on how I can make this easier for him and well my neighbours since Im in a block of 4 flats with not so thick walls.

He is having a problem passing number 2's as well Im sure of it, he seems to have some left alot when he has gone its very mushy so twice I was washing the carpets and showering him, after a 10 hour shift and a long walk with him it isnt all that nice, I was told by the vets when they checked the last time that he has anal gland problems and it may happen once or more than once.
So I will need to get in contact with them as soon as possible.

Im really looking for ideas on how to settle him in more its distressing for him and very distressing for me to watch.

Thankx

I used t-touch massage a great deal when i first got VIctor. He flipped out over everything. Also i attended a seminar on calming pressure points. By combining the both i was able to work with a dog that was terrified of his bath and he calmed down almost instantly and we had a very successful bath. I postd the diagrams of the pressure points in my gallery if you like i will find you the links. In the seminar the vet said that by using a word when you do the massage it will help create a response in different situations even if your not at that moment doing the massage.

People herre have posted in the past about hiding treats when you leave. along with other ideas which i am sure they will post. I have always been lucky enough to have a sitter. IS it possible you have someone near by that for a small fee would watch your dog while you are at work?

Hey,

I really wish I could afford or just ask someone to sit with my pup but Ive just had my hours at work cut and I wont be able to live as it is :(

I shall have a search around here for some calming solutions well helpful hints, I really hope something will help.

Im going to look into the t-touch and see if there is anything else out there, maybe some rescue remidie, is that ok to use on dogs?

Thank you for your reply its been really helpful.

Im also worried that I keep finding bits of a number two coming from him, see he hasnt gone enough over the past few days as he has been really pretty scared, and now all I can hear is gas and then him passing it without even going to go for a number two, it just falls out.

Im even thinking of going to the vets tomorrow, seeing him in anymore distress is going to kill me, and well Im leaving for work at 5:50am tomorrow so it will be killing my neighbours as well.
