Maybe you could use hydrogen peroxide with a spray bottle and make him a reverse dalmation? Don;t know if that is safe or not. We used bluing at one kennel to brighten the whites. It is safe, but since your dog is dark, that won't work. I used bluing (u can even put it in bird baths says so on the label) to dye Victor blue for HAlloween. Wanted him to be Blue's Clue like the cartoon. He was blue, but nobody got my joke, oh well.

I cannot believe that you have so much trouble because you own a rottie. I find this really sad that dogs are being grouped and generalised by their breed. If this was a discussion about people you would not be allowed to generalise in such a manner. Are these people not aware that each dog no matter what their breed has their own personalities and that there is nothing to fear of a well trained and socialised dog.

well i have decided NOT to dye or paint my dog, even though it says its safe too and i have done tons of research on it, i just dont feel comfortable doing it, i dont want to harm my bud in anyway...i am just praying that this insurance person just takes my landlords word for it on him being a so-called "lab-mix"...
it is very sad and angering that i would have to go through this much hassle...and that these and other "so called" dangerous dogs get these labels...
as far as switching the dog...cant happen, we are moving to a new area, where we have no friends, and even if i could, my other dog sabre would not take to it very well as being an akita, new dogs in the house is a huge no-no...if you ever read about akitas they are a loan breed and only if you get them when they are pups can you have another dog, meaning the akita would have to come in second...we had datyn waaay before we got sabre, and they are the best of buds....but even if we had friends up there, i would not put another dog through that along with ours...too much stress...
her insurance does not accept rotties, so even if i said i got him at a later date would not work either...no rotties, means no rotties
just pray that this guy just takes her word for it, if he comes by i am just going to hide datyn in the basement...and just keep my curtains closed all the time...shame that i have to live like that, but i will do anything for my buddies....
