Necho being my brother has nothing to do with this "being looked upon lightly". I've been texting him, I don't know if anyone else has been talking with him or not. There are plenty of people on this forum that have taken a similar stance in a slightly less "hot button topic" thread and have never garnered a ban yet. Was all this is less than good taste? Of course. But was he entirely wrong in what he posted, as far a logic goes? We know there are others out there who truly hold those views, otherwise this article wouldn't have been written in the first place.
This wasn't like some random person coming in and saying "LAWLZ ALL UR UTERUSES ARE BELONG TO US". He was actually presenting logical (in the formal sense) arguments, the expansion of rationale and themes, as distasteful as they seem to our majority. Our majority is also made up of women, many (if not most) of whom have at least one child or are attempting to have a family. It's an emotionally hot-button topic and it was argued in sheer emotions, which doesn't go very far outside of an insular environment such as Chaz. It's like when we all agree on the type and quality of dog food/raw to feed, yet if you set foot on other forums or out in Petsmart, you're going to be arguing until your face is blue and you've run out of breath as to why Food A is so much better than Food B if you can't present things in a logical manner. I'm running into this at the pet food store; I've gotten so used to people thinking a specific way on dog food that when someone comes in and says "I feed Beneful and I'm not going to change, I just need something to make my dog quit [insert something that would be easily fixed by switching to a better food], you're not going to win anyone over by wailing "you're killing your dog!"
