Dexter books

I know someone here has read them, because I remember seeing someones pictures and they had the books on their shelves

I am not too far in third book, and at one point Dexter mentions that nobody knows what he really is... Except for his sister? Did I miss something? I don't remember her finding out.

Did you see the books in my pictures? I've only read the first one, but I'd like to read the others. I just have so many books I want to read first.

Deb finds out at the end of the first book, from what I remember.

Yup, I've read the first two. The first book is mostly like the first season, and after that they go in different directions mostly.

I don't remember whose pictures they were, I just remember is was on the bottom shelf. I actually had no idea the series was based on books until I saw that picture. I like them so far, but after having seen the series first I do keep finding myself getting surprised at the differences.
