It has been ages since I posted any Aussie doggie pics. First a quick update, when I moved out of my parents house Desoto stayed at home with my parents since they lived in the boonies which was easier with his DA and reactivity issues and as my dad had to retire early he is home all day and as Desoto has always lived in a busy house with someone home at all times I figured it would be easier for him and I would still be seeing him most days of the week anyways.
Unfortunately my dads health led to some financial and mobility issues and they had to move into the city/suburbs. We knew we would make it work as Desoto means more to my family than imaginable, that dog is the only thing that can make my dad smile some days. To all of our surprise he is doing fantastic! He LOVES the collie that lives next door (they have a star-crossed romance going on, always divided by the fence the poor souls) and pretty well ignores the neighbors, he is even rarely barking. I am also proud of my parents as they have been doing a great job of making sure they encourage and reward good behavior. Although he is figuring out how to work the system now, he will go over to the fence and search to see if he can see anyone outside anywhere then let out a gentle under his breath woof and then run back over and sit quietly and behave like an angel and wait for a treat.opcorn: Okay story times over, pictures!
When he REALLY wants cheese he has a tendency to try and do alllllll the tricks to get teh cheese faster, this is a combo rollover, play dead, high five
