I so don't understand this concept. I am researching on the net for a Japanese Chin, as you may know mine passed yesterday. Anyhow what suprises me the most is that these dogs are just as expensive as purebred. The breed i found is a yorkie/maleteese called a Morkie and asking $950. My Boston has every certification and registration known to man and she was only $650. Are you able to register these dogs? Do they show them? What is the point. My Boston isn't spayed due to anestisia problems. Long story please don't slam me as she takes medication during heat - just a long story. She whelped a litter of Boston Terrier/Blue Heeler. They were the cutest pups guess I should of made my breed LOL.

If it's a "designer dog" and has 2 purebred parents you can 1. get "papers" from the American Canine Hybrid Club or CKC will give you "non purebred dog" papers and list your dog's 'breed' in the miscellaneous section of their site.
2. They can not be shown in accredited kennel club shows but can be "shown" with their own club/association (if there is one) or in other non purebred shows. 3. There is no point other than for these so called 'breeders' to make a quick buck. IMO this "designer dog" business all started with the labradoodles in Australia. Although, I give the ORIGINAL labradoodle breeders credit for trying to help people with allergies (or disabled with allergies) own (or have an assistant) dog.
