Well, it has been another week, come and gone. Daizy was diagnosed with celleberum ataxia last week.
Daizy is growing fast, getting bigger and heavier.
I cannot say she is making improvment per say, but I can say she is learning her limitations. For instance, in the morning, or after noon, every time I let her out of her cage, she wiggles and waits for my guidance. I put my hand under her chin so she can lean on it to step out without falling, so she has learned that.
She has learned to enter her cage at feeding time, as I feed them in their cages, she will go in and turn and wait for her treat, laying down, so she has learned that she needs to lay when eating, she gets in the ready position.
She still stumbles, and is aquiring more calouses then ever before. She really bumped her head the other day after jumping for my sons snack, and falling back. This was the first time I heard her cry.
She now requires assistance peeing, as she will fall on her face to pee. She has been hand fed, due to her judgement of distances is way off. She HAS to be held while drinking, or shes crashing in her water.
These simple every day chores are hard for her. But her overall getting around???Much better. She has very goos moments more often now adays. I think her determination is stronger them ever. I am not catering to her as much when she is out just playing anymore. I figured she'd never learn with too much help from me. I just help with feeding and watering, and occasionally peeing.
She plays and roams just as much as the others now. Eats shoes, causes trouble, etc.
THE ONLY ONE completly housebroken, what an amazement! NEVER has she had an accident yet!
There is my update. I am wore plum out, and tired. I dont know how much longer she can go though, as her weight i am sure is going to change everything sooner or later.
I love her to death, but I am feeling so sorry for her like this, I almost wish we would have done this a long time ago(PTS!) Now it is even harder!
