This is Kaylee, my six month old mix. We were told that she was a Pit Bull/Pyrenees mix and personally I don't see the Pyrenees a lot. The pit bull, yes, but the Pyrenees I only see in the tail that curls over her back and her absolute love of cats (she is so good with them and they actually seem to...like her!?).

I was thinking she might have some pointer in her, she has a ton of light black spots that show up more in person and before I even thought about the pointer in her she was pointing...well as good as she could with a tail that doesn't uncurl. But I'm just curious what you guys think, what are your guesses?

She is a sweetie and also a brat. She's a chewer and gets into everything like all good puppies and she refuses to be housebroken (always fun).

She came to us really, really timid with no exposure to the outside world at 5 months old. It took days before she would walk around the house with her tail up and not tucked between her legs and even then when you called her she would lay down. But she's come out of her shell a ton. She now walks around outside with her tail and ears up and will go into petstores by her self (first time it took 15 minutes of coaxing and food to get her through the parking lot) and actually be happy to be in there.

She's decided that since she gets treats for sitting when I'm training her that if she wants what you are holding she will sit. My mom will be trying to cook in the kitchen and Kaylee will scoot around on her butt so that she is always in front of my mom, sitting patiently.

But anyways, here are the pictures! Breed guesses appreciated!

This is going to sound really weird, but I see Parson (Jack) Russell in her. She might have Pit in her . I think I see a smidge of Lab in her expression in the first and third pics. I don't think she's a mix of only two breeds- probably at least 3. She's cute. Kind of reminds me of a dog people I used to babysit for had.
Oh, she looks like she has ticking more than spots. Lots of breeds have/can have ticking- among them P(J)RTs, Wirehaired Fox Terriers, Beagles, Bassethounds, German Shorthaired Pointers, Pointers, Pits, English & Welsh Springer Spaniels and Brittanies. :)

She reminds me of Darkchild's (breeze) Walker in a very strong way...I'd almost wonder if there's not some Anatolian in there? I agree with seeing some Lab...I don't see a whole lot of Pitbull in here, maybe just her markings and the ear set.

She's more than a two breed mix, that's for sure. :) Very adorable!

I actually did think Jack Russel before to, good to know I'm not insane.

The pit bull does not seem to be translated well through pictures. Anyone who sees her in person immediately sees the pit bull, but when I take a picture people (not even me) just don't see it. Her ears and the broadness of her head is where I see the pit the most, along with her very very much pit bull smile and some other little things.

She came from an unwanted litter and when I first saw her at 3 1/2 months old my friend and I said at the same time "Look at those pit mixes"
Her brother that was also with her looked more like a pit, more than she does. She's more delicate looking

There's probably some lab in there :)

Ohh and I'm sure she's chock full of different breeds, I just like trying to figure out what those are. Hannah, one of my other dogs, is very distinctly three different breeds and it was fun figuring that out.

And thanks for telling me it was ticking, I for the life of me could not remember the name, it was right on the tip of my tongue and I just couldn't get it...and thats why i just said spots. :D

This maybe a long shot, but did you get Kaylee in the Lombard/Villa Park area? Reason being my dog Jack was said to be a Pyrenees/Pit mix and they are the same age. When I got Jack he had one sister left and I remember her being shy. I got him from a pet store there. I dont' see much pit in him actually, save for squared face and the poor thing was pretty sick when I got him. He is doing really well now, he's happy and has been enjoying chewing on walls.....he's a goof, whatever he is...
