'allo evr'yone

So there's this guy at my work who is always flirting with me and I want it to stop. He's married, he knows I'm married and he still feels the need to flirt and hit on me.

So how do I get him to stop?? It's really annoying...he's always smilin' at me and winking and asking me if I was 'always this pretty' and saying he likes to look at me...It's really creepy...

Grr!! needed to rant a bit. Maybe I should threaten to tell his wife if he doesn't stop, lol. I know where she works...

I am sure you have a sexual harrassment policy at work. Perhaps you should remind him that it exists?

Very creepy. Ugh. I'm pretty sure that what he's doing counts as sexual harassment. Tell him you'll turn him in to the bosses if he doesn't stop.

Have you told him specifically to stop yet? I'm sure you prob have, but you didn't mention in your post so I figured I'd ask.

I had that happen to me at a job once. It was before I was married though, but the guy was married and it was equally uncomfortable. He wouldn't stop even after I told him so I took it to upper management. Them talking to him embarrassed him and he left me alone after that.

Also creepy, LOL. But it's good that your workplace actually does something. A guy in my workplace was turned in for getting very uncomfortably touchy-feely with me. I wasn't even the one who turned him in....it was one of the middle-level managers who saw him in action. The HR department talked to him, then told me, "Oh, it sounds like it was just a misunderstanding. He said he didn't mean it." That was it. Amazing, especially considering the guy had been reported by two other women in the past.

You can tell him to stop but you don't have to. You can go straight to your HR department and report him for sexual harassment and they should deal with it. Does he do this around other people? To anybody else? It will make things easier if you can have somebody else corroborate your story, if they've seen him do it or if they've done the same to them.
You DO NOT have to feel uncomfortable at work. Don't put up with it.

I'd report it to HR.

My company has a zero-tolerant policy on sexual harrassment. It ensures a nice working environment where everyone respects everyone else and no one is having to deal with any of this.

after reporting him, make him invisible in your head.

See where I work, it's two stores in one. Our store is inside their store...he works in the other store in a management position...I don't think they have an HR...it's just a camera store that sells cameras and equipment...I could talk to the owner of the camera shop tho...if I can get one of the other guys to give me his number...

I would report it right away to his boss. Or tell the guy if he does not cut it out you will be taking it up with his boss.

His behavour is unacceptable and something needs to be done about it.

First, I apologize on behalf of my gender. Second, if speaking to his boss doesn't work, try the following:

Approach him in the kindest way possible. Make sure to project that you only have the best intentions in mind for him. Absolutely ooze kindness and sincerity. Tell him that he is projecting unwanted vibes that you know he is not trying to project, and that you're sure that his wife wouldn't appreciate it. Say that you know how hard it is for a marriage to hold together, and you'd hate for something as silly as this to cause problems at home.

End by thanking him for agreeing to modify his behavior (even if he has not said that he would), and offer to help him through this unintentional behavioral problem by contacting his wife.

:)

Haha I love it!

Seriously though, that sucks... If you have mentioned before that it makes you uncomfortable and that you want him to stop, then I agree, take it up with his boss.
