my favorite was a woman who was on her cellphone, applying mascara and searching through her purse for something, while merging onto the highway and steering with one knee...
You where in ohio right? That was my cousin becky:lol-sign:

She has gotten things out of her fold down trunk while driving. Completely gets ready for work in the car. She used to drive with one foot on the window. All this with a dog or two on her lap if she isn't going to work.

And people wonder why I am afraid to drive with other people;)

I once saw a lady eating something with chopsticks. She was holding a bowl with one hand, the chopsticks with the other, and have her elbows on the wheel!! :yikes:

I had a friend that would drive with her knee, put mascara on, text/talk on the phone, etc.

People are insane.

Once, I rode in a van with a girl who drove with her seat back and her left leg up on the dashboard. I don't know how that was even comfortable, and I don't know how she was even able to see over the dashboard as slouched as she was. Riding with her made me very nervous.

Yeah... She had her foot up on the dash. Blegh.
Bet the truckers appreciated that :rofl1:

One of the funniest . . . some guy I'd passed, catching up to me and driving alongside in the right lane while madly writing his phone number in large letters on an envelope and holding it up in the window, mouthing "call me" while Kharma went ballistic at him :rofl1:

Eating, having to unwrap something, anytime they're multi-tasking, looking back at a child, having a dog on their lap with the window down (makes me nervous) as I've seen a few accidents when the dog goes flying out the window because it was sitting half out of it whilst on their owner's lap), Drinking anything (I've seen it time & time again when someone spills either it's hot or not doesn't make much of a difference, all it takes is ONE SECOND to look down, swerve, mess up.

They say there's a time & a place for everything, but multi-tasking only allows us 50/50 or less. When we're driving it should be all about driving.

Only my opinion....

I text at stop lights and in heavy traffic if I'm sitting still...I am guilty of texting while driving occasionally, depending on how "urgent" it is...

My boyfriend won't talk to me on the phone while I'm driving anymore because I got into an accident with him on the phone. Granted I was sitting still, waiting to merge into traffic, and a truck hit me from behind (that sounds dirty, lol) so not my fault, but now if he hears my car he'll hang up and tell me he'll call back when I'm not driving...not fair!

Now, crazy things people do. Lots of people knuckle deep in their noses, reading newspapers, texting (yes I know, I'm guilty, not a hypocrit, and I use both hands to text) SHAVING with an electric razor (Scott's guilty of this) brushing teeth, picking zits...yeah...people really should realize that everyone can see them doing this.

no... i dont think you have ever been in the car with me :rofl1:

I really hate watching people eat while driving... it is soo gross to watch... I used to eat in the car when I commuted and hour each way, so I know its necessary sometimes but eww I just cant stand watching it.

I have seen lots of bugger eaters thats the worst, seriously... they invented tissues for a reason.

I have put makeup on... thats bad. I try to only do it at red lights.

Well I jsut had to resurrect this thread to post this.

This definitely tops anything we've come up with in this thread lol

FHP: Driver lacked razor-sharp focus | KeysNews.com

As authorities nationwide warn motorists of the dangers of driving while texting, Florida Keys law enforcement officers add a new caution: Don't try to shave your privates, either.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a two-vehicle crash Tuesday at Mile Marker 21 on Cudjoe Key was caused by a 37-year-old woman driver who was shaving her bikini area while her ex-husband took the wheel from the passenger seat.

"She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit," Trooper Gary Dunick said. "If I wasn't there, I wouldn't have believed it. About 10 years ago I stopped a guy in the exact same spot ... who had three or four syringes sticking out of his arm. It was just surreal and I thought, 'Nothing will ever beat this.' Well, this takes it."

If that weren't enough, Megan Mariah Barnes was not supposed to be driving and her 1995 Ford Thunderbird was not supposed to be on the road.

The day before the wreck, Barnes was convicted in an Upper Keys court of DUI with a prior and driving with a suspended license, said Monroe County Assistant State Attorney Colleen Dunne. Barnes was ordered to impound her car, and her driver's license was revoked for five years, after which time she must have a Breathalyzer ignition interlock device on any vehicle she drives, Dunne said. Barnes also was sentenced to nine months' probation.

Barnes and Charles Judy were southbound in her Thunderbird at 11 a.m. when they slammed into the back of a 2006 Chevrolet pickup driven by David Schoff of Palm Bay. His passengers were a man and two women; the latter were treated for minor injuries at Lower Keys Medical Center, FHP spokesman Alex Annunziato said.

Schoff had slowed to about 5 mph to make a turn when the Thunderbird hit him, traveling about 45 mph, which was within the speed limit, Dunick said.

Barnes allegedly drove another half-mile, then switched seats with Judy, who allegedly claimed to be driving, Annunziato said.

"She jumps in the back seat and he moves over," Dunick said. "It was like the old comedy bit, 'Who's on first?' "

Burns on Judy's chest from the passenger-side airbag deploying belied their story, Dunick said. The airbag in the steering wheel did not deploy, he said.

Troopers charged Barnes with driving with a revoked license, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a wreck with injuries and driving with no insurance. Judy was not charged.

Barnes faces a maximum of a year in jail if found guilty of violating her probation due to the wreck, Dunne said.

"My phone has been ringing off the hook all day, and I know there's a funny side to this, but it's also deadly serious. This is a scary road and a lot of bad wrecks are caused by dumb stuff like this," Dunick said. "It is unbelievable. I'm really starting to believe this stuff only happens in the Keys."

I used to know a girl that shaved her legs while driving! How she did it I don't know? Haven't seen anyone having sex or giving head, guess if I did see that I'd loose focus and crash into something or someone. :rofl1:

OMG somebody did that to me! XD

Also, the reading of a book seems to be common, I've seen that as well.

We had my sisters 5kg malteseX in the front of the ute cab with us. The other dogs were in the tray and my mums partner at the time just grabbed Daisy and stuck her out the window with one hand and tossed her back into the tray while driving.
It all happened so fast but he got in a lot of trouble from us for that move.
