I volunteer at the local pound and we have some dogs that are kennel aggressive. They act as though they will attack any dog next to their kennel or any dog that walks by. We also take dogs down to Petsmart to try and find homes for these dogs and they are also crate aggressive.
They do not act aggressive towards other crated or leashed dogs what so ever when they are out of their kennels or crates. So the question I have is what can we do to help eliminate this problem. At Petsmart it gets out of hand as it keeps people with their dogs at a distance from these dogs that are wonderful once they are out.
They are not human aggressive, they just do this to other dogs. I have spread a blanket over a good part of their crates and moved them away from the others but was wondering if anyone could come up with something else.
