What causes them!!! All of my life I've had nice skin on my feet. Never needed to moisturize or exfoliate. Now I've got dry heels that crack if I slide at all on the moisturizing and exfoliating. And it's driving me nuts. Is it an aging thing??? Why do they keep coming back?? Do I not get them healed enough??? grrrr. So annoying and ugly looking

are you diabetic by any chance? Are you on your feet a lot... especially hard surfaces? And do you wear open back shoes a lot or go barefoot a lot? Have you by any chance put a little weight on recently? All these can be factors that can lead to the dry cracked heels.

I would recommend using an oil based moisturizer everyday. I like the baby oil gel mixed with a little of my favorite lotion. I don't have dry cracked heels but my hubby does and it drives him crazy because he says they hurt.

I'm barefoot all the time and on hard surfaces. I haven't gained weight recently but have been heavy for a few years. I've actually lost just a bit of weight recently. And in the summer all my shoes are open back. lol I guess I'm shooting myself in the foot so to speak?? Yeesh. I just a body butter on my feet and wear socks for about an hour after. Seems to help. Thanks for the baby oil gel tip. I'll look for that :)

you can get the baby oil gel at a local dollar store... at least we can here. I've gotten the johnson and johnson brand from walmart and the breck brand at the dollar store... and I can't tell the difference between the two exept for the cost..lol Make sure you mix it with a little bit of lotion or your feet will be all greasy and oily. It works awesome... you'll love how soft it makes your feet.

And I would recommend the ped egg to help deal with the dried skin. I think we had a topic about the ped egg recently. I have one and I love it. We got it for 10 bucks at walmart.

yes, it is creepy looking.... but it works sooooo good. I hate feet, but if feet are at least soft and clean looking it doesn't make me wanna barf quite as bad. And my regime of the ped egg and the baby oil gel with lotion makes my feet very soft. I only use the ped egg every so often because I don't have a problem with callouses or cracks or anything like that. I guess I just use it to prevent that from happening.

I'll look for that next time I go to walmart. Thanks :)

And yes. Feet are gross. I try to keep mine as neat and clean as possible.
