Does anyone have recommendations for any litter box designs which are better or nicer than others?

In my apartment my bathroom will be the initial 'pen' for a new puppy. I plan to leave a litter box in there long-term as well, next to the 'flushable human litter box'. (It seems appropriate!) However, so as not to be too off-putting for any guests using my (human) bathroom, I would like to use a covered box (yes, for the dog!), to keep nasties out of sight and non-smelly.

Are some designs superior to others, or doesn't it make much difference? (Is smell-control even possible??) It's for a small dog, up to Bichon size.

Thanks!

I have two Booda Domes........and are AWESOME!! I picked them up at Petsmart a few years ago. The ones I have have a ramp that loops around to the back and then there's the litter. It also has a filter on the top to reduce the smell of the "fresh uns"...LOL.

But......since you have a small breed, it might not work. My dogs can't even get there heads in, but they are HUGE heads. My cats weigh 13 and 16lbs and can easily get in and out. A small dog is likely able to get into it as well if they wanted to.
