I'm a sucker for classic calicos as well as blue/dilute calicos. Put the color on just about any cat and I love it. On the flip side though I am not fond of tortie in most cases- yes I realize the colors are related.

Don't do it! lol!
The likelihood of that happening is pretty much zero. If I want a small pet I'll get one of these:

All I have to do is recall what cleaning a litter box smells like and I'm done with the cat notion.

My godmother just got two Tonkanese kittens and paid close to $1000 (each- I think) for them. CRAZY. But I admit they are pretty cool cats. I'm not a huge cat person but if I were to have a cat, it'd probably be one of those, or one of the more trainable breeds. I loooveee bengals. I know her tonkanese are always near her, love to cuddle and be held and fussed over, sit in your lap, etc... I've always been turned off by cats because they generally are so hard to find, to pet, to hold, etc, so that's why I've just never been a cat person. But apparently this breeder shows her cats and always takes back if a person decides they can't have them anymore and stuff.

Rockefeller's litterbox doesn't smell at all :)
It only ever smells when the roommates' kitten uses it because his diet is Whiskas.
It stopped smelling when we switched Rock to a new food. A good litter helps too. I love corn litter.

Yeah honestly Brie's litterbox isn't noticeable...even people who don't have a cat will pass near where it is and unless she *just* made a deposit, they are surprised to learn we have a cat and ask where her litterbox is because they can't smell it...

But we clean it a lot (both scooping and thoroughly cleaning) and her diet seems to agree with her.

My housemate bought two cats from breeders. A retired Balinese breeder (Topham) and a Korat kitten (Nado). I don't know what he paid for Topham, but Nado was at least $800.

I would totally get a Balinese from Topham's breeder! Topham is my most favorite cat ever.

Ryan and I have both said that we don't want another cat, we want a Topham.

I was never a cat person before... And I am not sure if I am, but I do adore my two that just fell into our lap.

We had a foster with cerebellar hypoplasia that one of my coworkers adopted. She is the mose loveable cat ever :)
Luckyyyy!! When I first learned about it, I was searching online like crazy just to see if I could find any cats up for adoption that had it (not that I was in any position to actually adopt a cat lol)... and the only ones I could find were living in some sanctuary where they couldn't be adopted. Stupid.

I've only noticed stinky litter boxes from kittens. Even cats on crap diets are not too odorous (IME). Unless, you know, you're standing right next to the box when they're pooping. lol.

But yeah I've never had a problem with the litter box being stinky, as long as it's cleaned daily. I suppose the type of litter might make a difference too.

Anyone else think brown cats are just super cool looking? You almost never see them, but I LOVE them.

And by brown I mean BROWN. Like Havana Browns.

The day I see a brown rescue cat is the day I bring home a brown rescue cat.
I love brown cats! There was one at cat shelter I used to volunteer at named Tina. She was 14 years old and had been at the shelter for several years. No one wanted to adopt her because she would only use a litterbox if it was completely empty, no litter or anything. She actually ended up getting adopted semi-recently. She snuck into a carrier someone set down and when they brought the carrier home and found her in there they fell in love with her and decided to keep her :) She was such a sweetheart and her brown coloring was so pretty and unique!

That is the sweetest adoption story I think I've ever heard.

Brown cats really are just so unique in the cat world. I love em.

I don't have a problem with stinky litter, but changing it drives me crazy because of all the dust! My parents by the cheap kind, I want some that doesn't make a dust mushroom...

Even when it's not dusty and it's the good liter I can't take the smell. I'm SUPER sensitive to smells and I start gagging.

I love my friends cats but when it comes down to it I'm a dog person all the way. As much as I love Scottish Folds I don't think it would be fair to the cat for me to get it and expect dog behavior.
