I breed chihuahua's and have recently placed 3 out of 4 puppies in homes. With 1 puppy no problems what so ever. She is healthy, happy and full of mischief. With the other 2 though, they called 8 day's later and told me that one never liked to drink water and was having seizures and very dehydrated, the other one was fine until this morning, woke up and puppy was having seizures. This is waht they have told me. I said call the vet now. We returned this afternoon only to have amessage that both puppies tested positive for coronavirus. One will probably die and the other has a 50/50 chance. 2 out of 4 pups are great. We have kept the smallest one because we were afraid to adopt him out he is so small. He's fine. I know it is passed thru the feces of infected animals. These two people live next to each other and the other pup she bought from somebody else died 2 day's ago from being hit by a car. She picked up the other pup before she had mine. When reading about coronavirus this is diagnosed be microscopic tests only and need to be sent out. Can part of teh litter contract this and not the rest? They were all together up until 8 day's ago. Why has mine not gotten sick or the other one? I'm thinking that the other new puppy had the virus and the other 2 caught it from her? Am I right or any other info would help tremendously.
