SO my mother called me telling me her 2-year-old Maltese is favoring a hind leg. Earlier today, he received his annual shots (Corona Vaccine & Leptos Pirosis) one in each leg (not sure which), but he's limping.
I first asked her if he ate normally, and if he's still playful -- she said "yes" to both. I then asked if she tried to touch his paw, but she said he whimpered when she did.
Her vet (Banfield) is already closed by now, so she wanted some advice. The best I told her was to move him into her room and keep and eye on him for the night, see how he is in the morning and if the problem persists to take him back to the vet.
Side effects she said she read included muscle aching, vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy. The dog is only showing two possible symptoms: muscle aches and a bit sleepiness.
