so it seems to be going well. If buster goes out of sight marbles will often go check on him, or if i am holding buster she will come up wagging and sniff him up. only time she gets mad is when he nips at her face or feet. I know this is fairly normal for puppy play but i think she might just be to old for it. should i let her correct him with a good bark/growl or should i be pulling him away to tell him play time is over when he does this? She's never taken a nip at him, just usually shoves him down, growls and walks away. he however doesn't seem to get the hint. any idea's

If Buster gets on Marbles nerves too much she WILL let him know and that's how he will learn. Bailey takes a lot from Chloe and Chloe pesters him unmercifully sometimes, when Bailey has had enough he runs her off and she has always understood WHEN he has had enough and she stops.

When we got Chloe she weighed about 15lbs (now she weighs 57lbs, 9 months old) and Bailey weighs around 75lbs and he's never harmed a hair on her head but even when she was that tiny 15lbs and he 75lbs he knew how to handle her.

Marbles may nip, nip, nip the air in his direction as a warning or swat him or even roll him over on his back.
