I am going to pick up a Great Dane, my dream breed!! Oh my goodness, more info when I get home. This will be MY Great Dane, he first Great Dane I've ever owned and the only breed I've really ever dreamed of owning. :yikes:

I am glad your going with what you have always wanted. GOod luck and pats to Joan. Hopefully they will get along famously. Mary didn't speak to me for 3 weeks after i got Victor, in the end he was good medicine for both of us.

Ok quick update from my cellphone, we are on the road to get her now. It is a hour and 20 minute drive or so.

Joans met the Dane briefly as we saw her but there was a waiting list for her so we did not think we would get her. She is a Fawn Great Dane, unsure about age though fully grown. Of course pictures as soon as I can!!! I am sooooo freaking excited. I need name ideas!

Ok, well, the Dane we picked up was not the one I expected. However, after seeing her we couldn't say "no" to her. After hearing her story, it made it even more difficult. I am on my way home now and I will post an update when I get there.
