I don't think complaining is inherently bad. If someone steps up and 'complains' (ie states there is a problem) and then DOES something about it, then its a good thing.

OR if a complaint is made to someone who does have the power to do something about it. (Ie someone lodges a complaint against someone who's dog is always running loose)

And ya.. what Jess said :D (its great to see you Jess.. you sticking around?)

I pretty much live a complaint free life!

I very rarely complain. If life throws me something unpleasant, or when something is not right, I work toward improving it. If it's not improvable, I pray to God that He'll grant me enough grace and courage to accept it. If it's too much for me to bear, I ask God for His help to bear it with me!

I do bring things up to others when I think I need their help to resolve them, I don't just complain to them

I think I read an article about this or something super-similar. The author attempted being complaint free on a trial basis.... and declared it more stressful and just plain B.S.

I guess it would seriously hinge on how "complaining" was defined. Communicating unhappiness? Sure. Just plain ole bitching? Keep it to yourself.
