Of these two ingredients lists, which is better? Same?

really... imo they're about the same. A typical mid grade dog food. The top one does have brewers rice which is more of a by product than the second but both would not make my high standards for dog chow because of sugar inclusion in the form of beet pulp.

Both list protein meals in the first three ingredients although the top one is a little more honest because they list the meal first.

Personally I'd search for a better quality chow.

Is there a difference between brewers rice and ground rice?

They look very similar to me. I'd make my decision between the two based on the calories, the price, and whether or not I wanted less or more fat in the diet.

I would base my choice on which one has the most protein. However, the one with the most protein has powdered cellulose (sawdust).
