Which do you think is better? I have her on a collar now, but sometimes I feel like I am choking her when she pulls ahead or I need to tug her back from something dangerous. Would I be better off with the harness?

I was wondering this too with my Pap puppy. He is so little and seems like a collar would be too hard on his tiny little neck.

I always felt like I was choking my dog, she is not very good on a leash...lol

But regular harnesses seemed to bother her.

I bought a Puppia Harness... it is great and she seems very comfortable in it.

Good Luck

Puppies can back out of a collar too easily .... also , with a harness you can lift up quickly in case of trouble .

I reccomend a harness for small breeds like a pug/beagle or pap. because of their delicate trachea...Charlie used to pull like crazy and I too felt like I was choking him. But I got him the Easy-walk harness and it works like a charm :) He hardly ever pulls with it since the D-loop is in the front (it's made for pullers). I highly reccomend it :)

I agree too! We took River out for his first walk and he sounded like he was going to choke to death - we went straight to the shop to get him a harness and he loves it :)
