Clouds of doom

we had the weirdest storm move in. It was pretty scary looking but not nearly as bad as our usual storms. It was sunny when we went to eat and in the middle of dinner, we noticed the wind pick up. Outside clouds were swirling around our roof.

these were taken within 30 minutes of each other. I swear the sky changed colors many times so fast...

This came out weird, but it looks like a sunset. It's not, the sky was just yellow. That was at the front of our house. Totally different color than the back of the house.

Earlier when I was leaving to head to the store our sky look eerie. I couldn't even explain it. I wish I went back in a grabbed my camera.

Those photo's are NEAT! I love how the color was changing in each pic. I agree, weird cloud formations, but totally neat too.

It was pretty darn cool. You could still see the perfectly clear sky in the distance. Oklahoma weather is wild.

those pictures are awesome... I love the 3rd and 4th ones. The color looks like it should have only been like that if it was adjusted on photoshop. I would've loved to see it in person. We never get skies that neat in Ohio. Did you have a huge storm then?

I've seen sulphur-yellow skies a few times here in Iowa.... it's always been MEGA weird!

Tornado season is starting up, keep a close eye on the skies!

We had some clouds like that as well...we were on the top end of that band that went through you.

I've seen the sky do that yellow thing a few times though I haven't gotten it to come out quite as well on my camera.

I was mad the yellow one didn't come out well, lol! It looks like a pretty sunset. It was actually not THAT bright in real life. I messed with camera settings a few times (even tried auto) and that was as good as I could get it. It's crazy how different the clouds looked on auto. Didn't capture the color at all.

the freakiest part was that the clouds were swirling over our house. Emily said it looked like the apocalypse.

Now i know i wasn't dreaming. One morning i woke up and the sky was the color of this. I fell back asleep and when i woke up again it was gone. I have always wondered if i dreamed it was that color and now i know. It looked just like your photos. THat is so interesting i am glad you posted.

Oh yeah, Smkie, we get wild colors here. Right before a tornado are the weirdest. The sky is usually yellow or green.

That's pretty close to the color. It moved in and out so fast that's it's likely you could wake up and it be there then look out a bit later and it was gone. About an hour after this storm came in, the skies were clear again.

I'm still not used to it. Of course in Houston you just had to deal with the constant rain for days straight.

we got that storm here I think...or one related to the same front. Our came in at night tho. Hail in it...probably why the sky color changed, I think the sky goes greenish when hail is coming.
