Like people rocking out on the cello or what?

What bands do you already listen to of the classic rock genre?

Pretty much my entire music collection is classic rock.

Let me find a piece of software to catalogue my music library for me (I know there's one out there, called Olva or something) and I'll post up the bands I have.

Well I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. It'll put them in a catalogue but I'm pretty sure it's just so you can print it out.

I was trying to get it to export to a text file so I could copy and paste the bands to here but it won't/can't do that and I don't have the time to type them all up individually.

I point you here though. It'll get you started with the more mainstream stuff.

Oh and hey you might find these useful too. Online radio stations are my favorite method of music now a days. Gives me the diversity I want ('new' songs I've never heard) and the randomness I desire (I hate listening to full albums). Only problem is ads but they're not too bad.

The Arrow is my favorite. I listen to that one the most and they always do a Classic CD at Midnight which is kind of handy. And if you couple that with Audacity, with a bit of work, you can get free albums. Also at 9 PM they do Get the Led Out which is good if you like Zeppelin.

Though The Fox is going to start doing The Fab Four at four which is four Beatle's songs in a row. Don't know when they're starting that though. I rarely catch any of those special things but it's just interesting that they do them.

Yah I don't really care for pandora. Plus I have a bad habit of skipping over songs I don't recognize in the first chords and miss out on a lot of good music that way. Would've never discovered 'The Piano Man' - Billy Joel had I been able to do that to the radio station I was listening to at the time (The Arrow, incidentally) because when it started out I was like 'what is this sh*t?' but now it's one of my favorite songs.

Phil Collins wasn't classic rock . . . he was an abomination  The Yoko Ono of Genesis . . . ruined one of the great bands.

Oh, and if Skynyrd is on the list, you HAVE to put their betters on the list . . . the Allman Bros. and Wet Willie.

Good call on the Bowie and T. Rex, Becca!

I have to really think on this, since I don't listen to a lot of the old stuff as a general rule.

The Doors and Jefferson Airplane. Cream. Procol Harum.
