Well, Chulita is getting put under tomorrow for a teeth cleaning. Just wanted some positive vibes sent. I always worry a little extra when a Chihuahua gets anesthesia. They're so small. Of course she's a wopping 5 or 6 LBS...pretty robust. But thought I'd let you know. Sometimes there are complications and I am just a little nervous. But it must be done. Her teeth are bad and her breath is terrible. :yikes: He's going to give her some anti-biotics plus there's now an annual vaccine for this bacteria which causes ginivitis which toy breeds are particularily susceptible to.

Plus, this is a new vet for me. He did see her a week or so ago for a preliminary and he saw Lyric for a check up. He seemed very nice with the dogs, calm and relaxed. And incredibly handsome. LOL. Hmmmm. wonder what else I could take a dog in for? I do have four of them. I'm sure I could think of something. :D

ROFL is he even single ??

Sending good thoughts your way - I hope everything goes well !! When I was fostering a tiny male long haired chi I was a nervous wreck! He has several health issues do to his wonderful breeding, though

I'm sure everything will go fine... You may have to get her to smile for us in a pic later ;) lol

Will Chulita be getting pre-anesthetic blood work? If so, and since she is healthy, and the gas used today is generally safer, she should be fine. I understand it is always scary when someone we love goes under general anesthesia.
Once she feels up to it how about posting a pic of her new pearly whites?

Thanks you guys! Bratina, I don't know if he's single....probably not. LOL. Well, thank you for your good wishes. Lion Run...I somehow have my doubts as to how pearly white they'll be. But I need her to be healthy. And that bacteria is no good.

But guess what!?!?!?! This is the second appointment I've made. The first one I had to cancel because my Subaru conked out and I had to put it in the shop....just got it back. 2,775.00 dollars later, somethings wrong again...too wrong to drive. I have to get it towed back to the shop again tomorrow and will have to cancel Chuli's appointment yet a 2nd time. They're going to think I'm some kind of nut. I'm beyond ticked off. So, will keep you posted when she finally gets her teeth done if she doesn't die from septicemia first.

Sending good vibes to little Chulita.:) I hate when one of my wee ones have to go under too Doberluv. On a positive note, Tinkers last 2 dentals, one for cleaning and the second for jaw reconstruction (due to findings during her cleaning:( ) went extremely well and both times she bounced back so fast I was shocked...and she's a mere 1.3 lbs. She was running around within 12 hours and even ate dinner the same night.

I had Amos in for a cleaning about a month ago and he too did very well. Like you, I worried like crazy anyway...and I stayed with him during the whole thing.;)

She'll be fine.....so put on your cutest outfit and GO GET THAT HANDSOME DOC.

I hope you can get your vehicle figured out soon...if he's that attractive, other "clients" may also be choosing their cute outfits as we type....in their dogs best interest of course..;)

Thanks guys, but Chulita will have to be re-scheduled as my car has to be towed and I can't get her there. So, hopefully this week sometime...maybe next depending on how long my car and if they can get her in soon.
