Thanks for everyone's support. Today I took chong chong to the vet again to see if there any way to help chong chong. He suggested to leave him at the vet for 3 days with fluids and stuff like that. He also suggested ultra sound to see if there is anything wrong with him inside. I asked him if it was possible of heart worm, and he said it could be, but he have never diganose any dog with it for over 20 years. He said it wasnt common around the southern California area. For some reason, it was hard for us to make the decision from couple options because the price was very high. We end up taking out the heartworm test in hoping that the ultrasound might find something(hopefully not pricy) and the fluid for 3 days. And today he was walking around and slipped and seems like he sprained his ankle or something which cause him to limp. The doctor said it wasnt anything major, which was a bit heart warming.
Well Im just gonna stand by and see if any good results would come. Wanted to share and see what else can possibly happen. Thank you all once again.

Re: Chong Chong not eating

Hi there from another Husky owner. Not sure if you mentioned before, but have you seen Chong chong eating anything strange around the house or yard? Is he pooping ok? did vet do an x-ray of abdomen, I'm wondering if he ate something or maybe has a blockage...good luck. Katie & Kira

Hi, its great to meet other husky owners. Well it doesn't seem that chong chong have a blockage because chong chong ate grass and found grass in his poop. So the doctor said it is very slight chance of blockage. My the doctor did a ultra sound on chong chong to see any problems internal. What I heard is that my dog might have a rare case of harmone that stop producing to the glance.(trying to remember what the doctor said). He said something..is making him feel like not eating and making him go in low energy. And now the doctor calls and say do we want to do another test(a harmone test) to see if that is the case. Sadly...I dont want to the test because we are running out of funds. I wonder if insurance company would accept him if he is sick because we need all the help we can get. I'll repost soon to see what will happen.

Unfortunetely if the insurance company did except him they wouldn't cover for the tests and everything. A dog, or cat, has to be in good health for them to except the animal. Atleast when I applied for insurance for our pets that is what they told us. Unfortunetely the one dog that I wanted to get on the insurance (our husky) can not be covered because she has cancer.

Im not sure what it is call because the vet called my brother. My brother couldnt really explain the names except in the simpliest words. They said if this hormone disease comes out positive, we would have to go and get shots and healt care exam every month. Anyone know what disease is this? It deals with harmones.

call the vet back and ask.

there are several diseases that have something to do with hormones, like diabetes, several different thyroid diseasess, addison's disease, or cushing's disease just to name a few.

all of them have to be managed through either diet, medication or both.

My Kira has cushing's disease, has tested very high for the adrenocortisone. She is pretty good, though, does not have any major symptoms, except now has lost a small hair patch on her shoulder. Good luck with your pup, Husky626.

Thank you all, well I got chong chong back today and guess what? THey didn't find anything AGAIN! THe harmone test is waste of money and it came negative. Im so worried and afraid i have to spend so much to find what is wrong with him. He is still tired and low in energy. I dont know what to say, the bill is high and he still isnt getting better....

Hi to Chong Chong and owner, sorry about your negative test (or should we say, yea!) Don't know if you can do this with work, but stay home a few days with her, watch closely all behavior (as well as have fun) and see what's up. Also try "spying" she thinks you're not watching....what happens?

I know it is hard to spend the $ sometimes, but it is part of pooch ownership :p Don't consider it a waste of money as another thing is now ruled out and it makes the doctors jobs a little easier as the possibilities are narrowed down. Dogs can't speak so vets have to rely on testing to determine what is wrong...no fun. Have you had abdominal x-rays done? If not, I would!
