I have never heard of that flavor, I don't think flavor will make much of a difference, but try to stick with canidae as a brand for your pup.

I generally aviod feeding liver, the livers functions for the body is to remove all of the toxins... I'd rather not feed by dog toxins...

* Too much liver for your dog can be harmful
While liver contains myriad nutritional components, a daily
diet of liver can cause diarrhea or vitamin A and D toxicity.

And it should never be given to a pregnant dog, personally i only feed it as a treat once and awhile its very ritch and can easily upset the stomach

A lot of show people use it, but with showing dogs as large as mine, I need my hands, and I would rather not have liver in my mouth, I use steak, or chicken depending on the dog. My Bernese Mtn dog, Whisper will do anything for a bite of Kiwi... go figure...

Liver in small amounts is good. I feed ours a small amount nearly every day, depending on their size. They are on a raw diet so the liver provides nutrients that the other meats and bones does not. I don't think I'd be feeding them a lot of it as it is very rich but a couple ounces per day is OK. For a pup not even 1 whole chicken liver- maybe 1/4 of one.
