I dont know the prices of the food there but Wellness and Solid Gold are both decent foods.

I had Armani on the wellness for awhile after his surgery and his poops were HUGE, so if I had to get a food there again i would probably try the Solid Gold.

If you have a costco nearby, you might want to check out their Kirkland brand. Petco is usually waaay more expensive than my local pet supply place when it comes to foods, so you're not going to find much "cheap" and of any quality there imo.

Petco sells Wellness, Solid Gold, Blue Buffalo, and Chicken Soup for the Dog/Cat's Soul. All are decent foods - by-product free and corn free (and Wellness has an entirely grain free line - Wellness CORE). I think price varies by region - none are ridiculously expensive around here, a few bucks more or less than the specialty pet food store I work at.

Thats what I feed, but since Black Friday is tomorrow I want to see if I can buy a large bag since it'll probably last long of better quality dog food.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

Are you looking for a grain free one out of those three?
It'll have to depend on the price really, because I'm also buying leashes, harnesses, a new dog bed, dog toy, so if I have enough than I would get the grain-free.

Of those three I would go with the Solid Gold, Chicken Soup as a second choice.

I am going to stop by Petco as well tmrw hopefully... I am hoping they have some good sales, I havent seen any circular for them.

But I get a lot of my dogs treats there.

For grain free I would put Blue Buffalo's Wilderness above Solid Gold's Barking at the Moon

For not grain free and just regular formula's I would put them all about the same quality with the possibility of Chicken Soup having more meat

Thanks! Yeah I haven't seen any ads or anything from them, hopefully they'll have sales, but nonetheless I need time to kill before I go to work tomorrow and PetCo is right there.

Wilderness is not grain free...

I know, it surprised me too! They push it as a grain free food.

I actually like Natural Balance, out of the Petco foods, and it's less expensive than the ones you listed. If you're willing to spend more for grain free, BATM is your best option, imho.

So I brought Solid Gold Small Breed and they LOVE IT!!! Gotta be that bison! Usually they only eat the kibble once they hungry, but they took to it right away!

I didn't see the BATM, they only had two bags of Solid Gold; for small and large breed left. I didn't see any Chicken Soup For The Soul dog food though.

Petco sells Ultramix by Castor and Pollux which is supposed to have a pretty good rating by the Whole Dog Journal.

Wee Bit (the one you got, in the pink shiny bag right?) is like impossible to get here right now because of border restrictions and people are going NUTS. Dogs love the food, and I have a lot of very unhappy customers. So glad you could get something good for your dogs :)

Yup, thanks! I liked the fact that is vaccumed sealed. I was kidna like what the...? at first and thought the kibble was going to just one big lump of kibbles glued together from something from how sealed the bag was!

And I must admit, I mainly got the bag because it was pink and shiny lol. And because it comes in small bite size!!

I think Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul is a great food however it is not available at Petco. In my area you can find it at local feed stores or you can check their website for a dealer near you.
