I was going to look into the free shipping for the Timberwolf because our store didn't carry the big bags of the Dakota Bison  but the price even without shipping was more than what I paid for enough smaller bags of the Dakota Bison plus tax to feed Holly for a week. Although I begged my petstore and they now get the bigger bags of Dakota Bison in for me (well they order them specially for me when I ask).

It actually costs less at our doggy bakery ($8.99 for a 4lb bag of Dakota Bison). On the website it is $11 for a 4lb bag... BUT I live 30 minutes away from the doggy bakery so I've found it much easier to just have it shipped.

Funny thing is, Timberwolf Organics is located 1 city away from me. I found that out once I received my fee invoice by email!

The Kirklnad food is excellent, as far as I am concerned. I feed it to six dogs and three cats, and they do great.

I talked to my dad and he said we would go with the Canidae ALS....and also, I am not sure if we can get Kirkland around here.

That is great to hear. You wont be dissapointed. One thing I like better about the Canidae ALS over the Canidae Chicken & Rice is that the ALS formula has the probiotics and the Chicken and Rice does not...

I feed to my males that work outside and who need to add on a extra layer for warmth and show KASCO Performance which has a HIGH fat and a HIGH protein like 28%..

It cost me direct from dealer $23.00 for 40 pounds. Then I add chop meat and veggies...

Planet Molosser,

I've read your posts about the amazing work you've done with your dogs, so please don't take this the wrong way. I'm simply just pointing something out to the original poster.

Kasco Hi-Energy:

Chicken by product meal, ground corn, poultry fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract and citric acid), ground wheat, corn gluten meal, beet pulp, rice hulls, fish meal, dried brewers yeast, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, choline chloride, Vitamins [dl-alpha tocopherol acetate (source of vitamin E), biotin, d-calcium pantothenate, niacin, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin A acetate, vitamin D3 supplement, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin (vitamin B2), folic acid], Trace Minerals [zinc oxide, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, manganous oxide, sodium selenite, calcium iodate].

By-products, corn, wheat, and the unhealthy parts of rice are all things that aren't found in Canidae.

In my opinion, it is worth $10 more for a 40lb bag of Canidae All Life Stages.

No problem I like outside opinions that are honest.
And thank you.

Truth is for my males keeping weight on I have tried over 20 bags of food.

I tried Nutro's Performance and they hated it plus the food you mentioned.

Each dog is different which is why I feed over 5 different bags of food.

I am a Nutro Breeder so I get great deals you know buy this get that free coupons trial size etc.

And I personally feel the best food EVER is INNOVA.

But simply with 12 dogs i cant afford to feed Innova to all of them.
They give NO deals, no breeders, no Coupons and it is $40 for 30 pounds.

Nutro NC has the No wheat NO corn and I feed the lamb version.

But you have to understand DOG food is only HALF of our diet here.

As a farm we feed beef, lamb, chicken FRESH and Veggies and Fruits.

So maybe that is why they are doing so well.

Our dogs work, handle extreme temps and are doing great in the health hips longivity dept oldest are now 10.

So yes I am not for a corn filler or wheat in general .
But what every works for anyone here is good for me.

So I feed 10 Year olds Innova Senior have 2 of them. $40 per bag
I feed intact females for breeding before after and during breed Nutro NC. $30
I feed pups for birth to 3-4 months Nutro NC Pup $33 per bag
I feed my chubby dog Nutro NC Diet BEST I found lowest protein $33

But I do feed my 2 intact males Kasco one you list $ 25
and I feed the maintence to 2 young neutereed males. $19

It seems my males dont put on weight until they get to 4 or 5 years og age.

The coats look great and much less shedding on the Kasco high protein.

I do admit the Kasco does make more Stools that smell worse than the Nutro.
